Abstract
Un vehículo incluye un sensor por radar para detectar objetos en la trayectoria del vehículo. El sensor por radar puede quedar bloqueado por contaminantes o desechos. Un controlador que monitorea el sistema por radar puede detectar un bloqueo del radar cuando una magnitud de la señal de retorno es menor que un umbral. Un controlador puede confirmar un diagnóstico de bloqueo por radar cuando otros datos indiquen que el sensor por radar puede estar bloqueado. Se pueden usar datos como la temperatura, la posición del vehículo, la irregularidad de la superficie, intervenciones automatizadas del frenado y los estados del sistema de calefacción. Las funciones dependientes de la señal de retorno se pueden operar en base al diagnóstico de bloqueo del radar.
