Abstract
Un método para identificar la retención de líquidos en una parte del cuerpo del paciente midiendo directa o indirectamente un primer parámetro relacionado con el tamaño de una parte del cuerpo del paciente para obtener una medición real de la parte del cuerpo, obteniendo una medición estimada de dicha primera parámetro relacionado con el tamaño de la parte del cuerpo del paciente midiendo parámetros alternativos predefinidos del paciente, en donde dicha medición estimada se calcula en base a una relación matemática entre dichos parámetros alternativos y el tamaño de la parte del cuerpo; y correlacionar las medidas reales y estimadas de la parte del cuerpo del paciente para evaluar cualquier retención de líquido en la parte del cuerpo.
