Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una enzima xilansa GH10 modificada o un fragmento de esta que tiene actividad xilanasa, en donde esa xilansa GH10 modificada o el fragmento de esta tiene unamayor termoestabilidad en comparación con una enzima xilansa GH10 parental; la xilansa GH10 parental se modificó en al menos dos posiciones siguientes 7, 33, 79, 217 y 298, en donde la numeración está basada en la numeración de aminoácidos de FveXyn4 (SEQ ID NO. 1). Particularmente, la enzima xilanasa modificada de conformidad con la presente invención tiene las modificaciones siguientes: N7D; T33V; K79Y, V, F, I, L o M (preferentemente, K79Y, F o V, con mayor preferencia, Y); A217Q, E, P, D o M (preferentemente, A217Q, E o P, con mayor preferencia, Q); y T298Y, F o W (preferentemente, Y o F, con mayor preferencia, Y).
