Abstract

La presente invención está referida a un contactor biológico flotante del tipo que se dispone en la parte superior de un tanque empleado para el tratamiento de aguas residuales, caracterizado porque consta de un eje tubular cilíndrico flotante sellado en ambos extremos mediante tapas de sellado hermético y conteniendo aire presurizado en su interior, en donde dichas tapas de sellado hermético tienen en su interior refuerzos con nervaduras radiales; dicho eje tubular cilíndrico flotante comprende un ensamble motriz ajustable capaz de hacer girar a dicho contactor a través del movimiento de un motor reductor y una banda dentada elastomérica. Externamente comprende una pluralidad de cuerpos anulares de soporte y fijación dispuestos equidistante entre sí a lo largo de la sección longitudinal adaptados cada par adjunto de cuerpos anulares de soporte y fijación para recibir fijamente mediante el empleo de medios de fijación una pluralidad de secciones de media distribuidas periféricamente.
