Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un molde de fundición para fundir masa fundida de acero (M) en una hebra (S) extraída continuamente, en donde una textura superficial (22) se forma en al menos una de las superficies interiores (13) del molde de fundición (7) que mira hacia la masa fundida (M) a ser fundida. Dicha textura superficial (22) se extiende al menos sobre la región (A3) del molde de fundición (7) que, durante el funcionamiento, se humedece con escoria (K) que flota en la masa fundida (M) que ha sido vertida en el molde de fundición ( 7). El molde de fundición de acuerdo con la invención permite un óptimo comportamiento de solidificación usando medios sencillos en la región del molde de fundición que es crítica en términos del riesgo de formación de grietas. Esto se logra de acuerdo con la invención en que la textura superficial (22) está diseñada como una estructura cerrada con muescas (23) independientes y distribuidas aleatoriamente.
