Abstract

Un vehículo de transporte con un control de conducción autónoma tiene un modo configuración, un modo conducción activa, un modo detección segura y un modo respuesta en emergencias. En el modo conducción activa transita en forma autónoma la ruta especificada en el modo configuración. Un sistema de detección de conductor detecta la presencia de un conductor en el asiento del conductor y un estado fisiológico del conductor. No se ingresa al modo conducción activa desde el modo configuración a menos que el conductor esté en el asiento del conductor y el estado fisiológico concuerde con un estado normal. Mientras está en el modo conducción activa se mide el tiempo transcurrido toda vez que no se detecte la presencia del conductor. Si el lapso de tiempo supera el primer umbral, se notifica al conductor que el modo conducción activa puede interrumpirse. Si el lapso supera el segundo umbral, el modo conducción activa se termina y comienza el modo detención segura. Un estado fisiológico detectado se compara con un estado de emergencia predeterminada y, si hay coincidencia, entonces el control de conducción autónoma termina el modo conducción activa y se inicia el modo respuesta en emergencias.
