Abstract

The invention relates to a method and system for controlling water in oil wells with horizontal open-hole completion, having a collinear or perpendicular trajectory close to the upper seal of the trap. The purpose of the invention is to improve efficiency in controlling water percentages in order to improve the production of hydrocarbons in a horizontal open-hole well drilled in fields that are naturally fractured or highly permeable and with active aquifer, having a trajectory collinear or perpendicular to the system of fractures close to the upper seal of the field, using a flow balancing pipe designed on the basis of the flow conditions in the horizontal section of the open hole, combined with a surface valve constriction, allowing improved control of the supply of water, by means of which the ingress of the total mass flow from the natural fractures into the balancing pipe through the circular holes in same is balanced or made uniform, and, consequently, the pressure drops are als o uniform, thereby reducing the risk of the differential growth of the water/oil interface in the fracture system of the field.
