Abstract

La presente invención se refiere al campo de la salud en animales y en particular el agente causante de una nueva enfermedad bacteriana en aves de corral causada por Gallibacterium spp, incluyendo Gallibacterium anatis, especies genómicas 1 de Gallibacterium y especies genómicas 2 de Gallibacterium. La invención proporciona una nueva toxina RTX de tales especies Gallibacterium, la nueva toxina denominada GtxA (toxina de Gallibacterium). Además la invención proporciona las secuencias de aminoácido y ácido nucleico de GtxA, una vacuna que comprende el toxoide inactivado o los fragmentos del toxoide así como métodos para inmunizar aves para prevenir la enfermedad y a métodos para diagnosticar una infección por Gallibacterium anatis en aves.
