Abstract

Modalidades de la presente invención generalmente se relacionan a un empaquetamiento de cartón compuesto laminado para contener helado y un método para fabricarlo. En una modalidad de la presente invención, un material de empaquetamiento laminado comprende una capa de cartón, una capa de un recubrimiento acuoso dispuesta sobre una primera superficie de la capa de cartón y una capa de una resina termoplástica dispuesta sobre una segunda superficie de la capa de cartón, en donde el material de empaquetamiento laminado tiene una proporción de transmisión de vapor de agua de menor que 20 gramos por metro cuadrado por veinticuatro horas en un ambiente de aproximadamente 37.7ºC (100 grados Fahrenheit) y 90% de humedad relativa.
