Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un gel de sílice y alúmina, amorfo a los rayos X, con una relación molar SiO2/A12O3 de 30/1 a 500/1, con un área de superficie de 500 a 1000 m cuadrado/g, con un volumen global de poros de 0.3 a 0.6 ml/g, con un diámetro medio de poros del orden de 10A o menos y desprovisto o substancialmente desprovisto de poros con un diámetro superior a 30 A, obtenido: a) preparando una solución acuosa de un hidróxido de tetraalquilamonio (TAA-OH) en donde el alquilo se elige de entre etilo, n-propilo y n-butilo, un compuesto soluble de aluminio capaz de hidrolizarse para formar A12O3 y un compeusto de silico capaz de hidrolizarse para formar SiO2; siendo tal la cantidad de constituyentes en la solución que se respetan las siguientes relaciones molares; SiO2/A12O3 de 30/1 a 500/1; TAA-OH/SiO2 de 0.05/1 a 0.2/1; N2O/SiO2 de 5/1 a 40/1; b) calentando la solución así obtenida para provocar la gelificación; c) desecando el gel obtenido; y d) calcinando el gel desecado trabajando primero en una atmósfera inerte y después en una atmósfera oxidante.
