Abstract

The invention relates to the field of production of inorganic sorbents and can be used for water purification from fluorine ions and humic acids.The sorption-filtering material for water purification contains nanosized aluminum hydroxide on activated diatomite, at the same time the content of aluminum hydroxide recalculated for Al2O3 is 12…19%, activated diatomite - the rest.The process for production of sorption-filtering material for water purification includes grinding of diatomite, its maintenance in the aluminum salt solution, treatment with ammonia solution at pH of more than 9 during 2…5 hours, filtration, washing, drying in air, at the same time after grinding is carried out the calcination of diatomite at the temperature of 400…450°C, and maintenance is carried out in 2M aluminum salt solution with constant stirring at the temperature of 50…60°C during 1…3 hours.
