Abstract

본 발명은 부호화기의 움직임 추정 방법에 관한 것으로, 종래의 프레임간 부호화기에는 움직임 추정기가 필수불가결한 구성 요소로서 움직임 벡터의 추정에 사용되는 탐색 영역의 크기에 따라 상당한 양의 계산을 필요로 하게 되어 영상 처리 시간이 지연되는 문제점이 있었다. 이러한 종래의 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 본 발명은 움직임 추정을 위한 기본 블럭의 움직임이 인접 블럭 또는 이전 블럭의 움직임과 유사한 경우에는 상대적으로 작은 탐색 영역에서 움직임을 추정하고, 움직임이 다른 경우에는 전체 탐색 영역에서 움직임을 추정하도록 창안한 것으로, 본 발명은 프레임간 또는 프레임내의 움직임 벡터를 이용하여 움직임을 추정하므로 유사한 움직임을 경우 상대적으로 작은 탐색 영역에서 움직임을 추정함에 의해 연산의 양을 감소시킬 수 있고 또한, 불규칙한 움직임일 경우는 일반적인 탐색 영역에서 움직임을 추정함에 의해 프레임의 움직임에 적응적으로 대처할 수 있다.The present invention relates to a motion estimation method of an encoder. Claims (1)
