Abstract

Claims (10)

  1. 모뎀이 제1통신 신호로 결합된 상태에서 상기 모뎀을 통해 접속하기 위한 제2통신 신호의 수신이 상기 모뎀에서 호출 대기 신호를 수신할 수 있고, 상기 모뎀으로부터의 대기 호출 수락 신호의 송신이 상기 제1통신 신호를 온 홀드 상태로 발생되게 할 수 있고 상기 제2통신 신호를 상기 모뎀에 접속시킬 수 있으며, 상기 모뎀으로부터의 호출 재개 신호의 송신이 상기 제2통신 신호를 상기 모뎀에서 분리시키고, 상기 제1통신 신호를 상기 모뎀에서 온 홀드 상태로 재 접속시킬 수 있는 전기 통신 시스템에 이용하기 위한 음성 및 데이터 모뎀에 있어서, 음성 플러스 데이터 모드 및 상기 전기 통신 시스템 내의 다른 음성 및 데이터 모뎀을 가지는 음성 전용 모드로 선택적으로 통신하기 위한 제1수단, 상기 호출 대기 신호의 수신에 응답하여, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 음성 전용 모드로 통신하라는 명령을 다른 모뎀에 송신하게 하고, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 음성 전용 모드로 통신하게 하며, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 대기 호출 수락 신호를 송신하게 하는 제2수단, 제1수단이 상기 음성 전용 모드를 통신하는 경우 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 호출 재개 신호를 송신하게 하는 제3수단 및, 음성 전용 모드로 통신하라는 다른 모뎀으로부터의 명령의 수신에 응답하여 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 음성 전용 모드로 통신하게 하는 제4수단을 포함하는 전기 통신 시스템용 음성 및 데이터 모뎀.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 음성 전용 모드로 통신하는 것을 상기 음성 플러스 데이타 모드로 통신하는 것으로 변경하라는 명령을 다른 모뎀에 송신하게 되고, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 음성 전용 모드로 통신하는 것을 상기 음성 플러스 데이타 모드로 통신하는 것으로 변경하게 하는 선택적-작동가능한 수단을 포함하는 모뎀.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1수단이 기저대 오디오 채널만을 경유하여 상기 음성 전용 모드로 통신하고, 데이터 변조된 반송 제1채널 및 오디오 변조된 반송 제2채널을 경유하여 상기 음성 플러스 데이터 모드로 통신하는 모뎀.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2수단은 상기 제1수단이 음성 플러스 데이타 모드로 통신하는 동안 상기 호출 대기 신호의 수신에 응답하여, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 음성 플러스 데이타 모드로 통신하는 것을 음성 전용 모드로 통신하는 것으로 변경하라는 명령을 다른 모뎀에 송신하게 하고, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 음성 플러스 데이타 모드로 통신하는 것을 음성 전용 모드로 통신하는 것으로 변경하게 하고, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 대기 호출 수락 신호를 송신하게 하며, 상기 제4수단은 상기 제1수단이 음성 플러스 데이타 모드로 통신하는 동안, 음성 전용 모드로 통신하라는 다른 모뎀으로부터의 명령의 수신에 응답하여, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 음성 플러스 데이터 모드로 통신하는 것을 음성 전용 모드로 통신하는 것으로 변경하게 하는 모뎀.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 제3수단은 상기 제1수단이 상기 전기 통신 시스템내의 제3음성 데이타 모뎀을 가지고 음성 플러스 데이타 모드로 통신하는 동안 작동 가능하여, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 음성 플러스 데이타 모드로 통신하는 것을 음성 전용 모드로 통신하는 것으로 변경하라는 명령을 상기 제3모뎀에 송신하게 하고, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 음성 플러스 데이타 모드로 통신하는 것을 음성 전용 모드로 통신하는 것으로 변경하게 하며, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 호출 재개 신호를 송신하게 하는 모뎀.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2수단은 상기 호출 대기 신호의 수신에 응답하여, 상기 호출 대기 신호를 상기 모뎀 사용자용 오디오 채널에 재생하는 모뎀.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2수단은 상기 제1수단이 음성 및 데이타 모드로 다른 음성 및 데이타 모뎀을 가지는 통신 회선상의 제1통신 신호에 채용되는 동안 상기 통신 회선상의 상기 호출 대기 신호의 수신에 응답하여, (a) 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 통신 회선상에서 음성 전용 모드로 통신하라는 명령을 상기 통신 회선을 가로질러 다른 모뎀에 송신하게 하고, (b) 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 통신 회선상에서 음성 전용 모드로 통신하게 하며, (c) 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 통신 회선상에 상기 대기 호출 수락 신호를 송신하게 하여 상기 제1통신이 온 홀드 상태로 발생되게 하고 제2통신이 상기 통신 회선을 가로질러 상기 모뎀에 접속되게 하는 선택적으로 작동가능한 수단을 포함하며, 상기 제3수단은 상기 모뎀이 상기 통신 회선을 가로질러 상기 제2통신에 접속된 후 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 통신 회선상에 상기 호출 재개 신호를 송신하게 하여, 상기 제2통신이 상기 통신 회선으로부터 접속해제되게 하고 상기 제1통신이 상기 통신 회선에 재접속되게 하는 선택적으로 작동가능한 수단을 포함하며, 상기 제4수단은 상기 제1수단이 음성 플러스 데이타 모드로 다른 음성 및 데이타 모뎀을 가지는 상기 통신 회선상의 제3통신에 채용되는 동안 음성 전용 모드로 통신하라는 명령을 상기 통신 회선을 가로질러 수신하고 이에 응답하여, 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 통신 회선상에서 음성 전용 모드로 통신하게 하는 수단을 포함하는 음성 및 데이타 모뎀.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 제3수단의 선택적으로 작동가능한 수단은 상기 모뎀이 상기 제2통신에 접속된 후 상기 제1수단이 음성 및 데이타 모드로 통신하는 동안 작동가능하여, (a) 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 통신 회선상에서 음성 전용 모드로 통신하라는 명령을 상기 통신 회선을 가로질러 송신하게 하고, (b) 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 통신 회선상에서 음성 전용 모드로 통신하게 하며, (c) 상기 제1수단으로 하여금 상기 통신 회선상에 상기 호출 재개 신호를 송신하게 하는 모뎀.
  9. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 제2수단은 상기 호출 대기 신호의 수신에 응답하여, 모뎀 사용자용 오디오 채널에 호출 대기 신호를 재생하는 모뎀.
  10. 제1항에 있어서, 음성 전용 모드로 통신하라는 상기 명령은 모뎀 정화 신호를 포함하는 모뎀.
