지금까지는 창문이나 출입문 설치를 위한 개구부를 형성할 때 현장에서 개구부 칫수에 맞춰 가공된 목재를 사용하여 제작한 거푸집을 설치하였던 것이다. 그러나 목재는 콘크리트와의 친화력이 좋기 때문에 콘크리트가 굳은 후 목재 거푸집을 탈형시키고자 할 때 쉽게 떨어지지않아 탈형시키기가 힘이 들고, 무리한 탈형시 목재의 손상이 심하여 거푸집의 재사용이 어려우며, 특히 거푸집을 탈형시키고 나면 콘크리트면이 손상되거나 매끄럽지 못하여 이를 다시 보수하여야 함에 따른 별도의 자재(資材)와 노무(努務)를 필요로 하게 되었고, 공기(工期)가 그만큼 길어짐은 물론 공자비용도 추가되는 등의 문제점이 있는 것이었다.Until now, when forming openings for installing windows or doors, molds made of wood processed to the opening dimensions at the site were installed.
