Abstract

본 발명은 열전사 감열기록기기(칼라 비디오 프린터, 팩시밀리 등)에서 색보정과 감마보정을 거친 데이타를 면족계조 신호로 변환하여 프린트하는 경우의 면적계조 제어장치와 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로 종래의 면적계조 장치와 면적계조 방법에 의하면 1픽셀 전체에 대하여 인화되지 않고 데이타에 대응하는 일부분이 전단으로 치우쳐서 인화되므로 원색의 재현이 어렵고 충실도가 낮아지며 이에따른 화질저하를 감수해야 되는 문제점이 있고, 또한 현재의 계조를 256계조까지 증가시키면서 비교후 열전사 헤드로 전송해야되므로 프린트 속도가 저하되는 문제점을 해결하기 위한 것이다.
본 발명은 계조에 따라 데이타 8비트중에서 1비트씩 선택하여 열전사 헤드로 전송하고, 각 비트마다 해당 숫자의 스트로브 펄스를 공급하여 프린트 동작을 수행시키므로서 1픽셀 전체에 걸쳐 인화가 가능하도록 하고, 이에따른 원색의 충실한 재현과 화질향상을 도모하며, 데이타 처리 속도를 높일수 있도록한 것으로 칼라 비디오 프린터, 팩시밀리 등에 적용한다.

Claims (2)

  1. 라인 메모리로부터 입력된 화소 데이타를 홀수 및 짝수번째의 데이타별로 구분하여 일시 저장하는 데이타래치(9)와, 홀/짝수 데이타를 각각 비트단위로 열전사 헤드(8)에 출력하는 멀티플렉서(10)와, 상기 멀티플렉서(10)에 비트선택신호(S0)(S1)(S2)를 공급하여 계조에 따라 1비트씩 선택 출력시키는 비트선택 제어기(11)와, 현재의 계조를 증가시켜 비트선태 제어기(11)에 공급하는 계조카운터(12)와, 상기 계조카운터(12)에 클록을 공급하고 멀티플렉서(10)의 선택된 비트출력에 대응하는 갯수로 열전사 헤드(8)에 스트로브 펄스(/STROBE)를 공급함과 함께 래치신호(/LATCH) 및 클록펄스(/CLOCK)를 공급하는 제어신호 발생기(13)로 구성된 열전사 감열 기록기기의 면적계조 제어장치.
  2. 색 및 감마보정된 1라인 픽셀데이타를 비트단위로 계조수만큼 리드하여 열전사 헤드로 전송하는 과정과, 전송 종료후에 각 비트의 가중치에 대응하는 갯수로 스트로브 펄스를 발생시켜 열전사 헤드에 공급하는 과정으로 이루어진 열전사 감열기록기기의 면적계조 제어방법.
