Abstract

본 발명은 내연기관에 있어서의 급배기를 원활하게 행하게 하기 위한 흡기류를 형성하기 위하여, 및, 연소실에서의 연료의 분무화나 연료와 공기와의 혼합을 촉진시키기 위하여, 실린더내에서 세로방향의 선회흐름을 형성시키도록 내연기관에 관한 것이다.
이 선회흐름을 형성시키기 위하여, 본 발명은 그 구성에 있어서, 흡기통로의 하류부를 실린더축심선의 방향으로 향하도록 형성한다. 또, 이 선회흐름의 형성을 촉진시키기 위한 것과, 콤팩트연소실을 형성하기 위하여, 피스톤의 상면에 오목한 곳을 형성한다. 또, 피스톤의 상면에 이오목한 곳과 인접하도록 융기부를 형성하고, 피스톤의 상사점의 근처에서 , 콤팩트연소실의 불꽃점화수단쪽으로 향하는 스퀴시를 발생시키고, 상기의 선회흐름과 협동작용시키면서, 희박공연비연소시에 연료가 농후한 혼합기를 불꽃점화수단의 근처에 부분적으로 모으도록한것을 특징으로 한 것이다.

Claims (21)

  1. 실린더(3A)내에 끼워넣어진 피스톤(2)의 상면과 실린더헤드(1)의 하면과의 사이에 형성된 연소실(7)과, 상기 실린더(3A)의 중심축선인 실린더축선(42)을 포함한 기준면(40)에 대해서 상기 실린더헤드(1)의 한쪽에 상기 연소실(7)에 개구하도록 형성된 흡기포오트(4)와, 상기 기준면(40)에 대해서 상기 실린더헤드(1)의 다른쪽에 상기 연소실(7)에 개구하도록 형성된 배기포오트(5)와, 상기 흡기포오트(4) 및 상기 배기 포오트(4)에 각각 설치된 개폐밸브((13,14))를 구비한 내연기관에 있어서, 상기 흡기포오트(14)가, 상기 연소실(7)의 개구부(4A)로부터 상기 흡기포오트(4) 상류쪽을 향해서 상기 실린축선(42)을 따르는 방향으로 뻗도록 형성되어서, 상기 피스톤(2)의 상면에 있어서의 그 한쪽에 편심한 개소에 형성되고, 상기 연소실(7)에 유입한 흡기흐름이 상기 실린더축선(42)의 직교선과 평행한 축선을 중심으로 소용돌이 흐름으로 되도록 안내하는 오목한 곳(2A)과, 상기 피스톤(2)의 상면에 있어서의 그 다른쪽에, 상기 오목한 곳(2A)의 완만하게 융기한 가장자리부(2C)와 연속하도록 형성되고, 피스톤상사점에 있어서 상기 실린더헤드(1)의 하면에 근접하는 융기부(28)가 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 흡기구멍(4)쪽의 실린더헤드(1) 측면에 상기 연소실(7)에 임하도록 해서 연료분사수단(18)이 설치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 흡기포오트(4)가, 상기 실린더축선(2)으로부터 격리된 쪽의 부분을 상기 실린더추선(42)에 가까운쪽의 폭이 넓혀져 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 흡기포오트(4)의 상류끝에 연통하는 흡기관(8)이, 상기 실린더헤드(1)의 상면으로부터 그 다른쪽을 향해서 뻗도록 형성되고, 상기 흡기관(8)과 상기 흡기포오트(4)에 의해 형성되는 흡기통로부분이, 원활하게 만곡하도록 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 배기포오트(5)에 연통하는 배기통로구성수단(9)이, 상기 실린더헤드(10)에 있어서 그 다른쪽을 향해서 뻗도록 형성되고, 상기 흡기관(8)과 상기 배기통로구성수단(9)을 접속하도록 EGR(exhaust gas recirculation)통로(10)가 형성되고, 이 EGR통로(10)에 EGR밸브(11)가 개재장치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  6. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 실린더헤드(1)의 상기 흡기포오트(4)의 상류부분이, 그 다른쪽의 상기 배기포오트(5)의 상부를 향해서 만곡되도록 형성되고, 상기 실린더헤드(1)내에, 상기 흡기포오트(4)와 상기 배기포오트(5)를 접속하도록 EGR통로(10)가 형성되고, 이 EGR통로(10)에 EGR밸브(11)가 개재장치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 흡기포오트(4)가 상기 실린더축선(42)으로부터 격리된쪽의 부분을 이 실린더축선(42)에 가까운 쪽의 폭이 넓혀져 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  8. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 흡기포오트(4)에 연통하는 흡기관(8)이, 상기 실린더헤드(1)의 상면으로부터 그 다른쪽을 향해서 뻗도록 형성되고, 상기 흡기관(8)과 상기 흡기포오트(4)의 상류쪽에 의해 형성되는 흡기통로부분이, 원활하게 만곡되도록 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  9. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 배기 포오트(5)에 연통하는 배기통로구성수단(9)이, 상기 실린더헤드(1)에 있어서 그 다른쪽을 향해서 뻗도록 형성되고, 상기 흡기관(8)과 상기 배기통로 구성수단(9)을 접속하도록 EGR통로(10)가 형성되고, 이 EGR통로(10)에 EGR밸브(11)가 개재장치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  10. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 흡기포오트(4)에 연통하는 흡기관(8)이, 상기 실린더헤드(1)의 상면으로부터 그 다른쪽을 향해서 뻗도록 형성되는 동시에, 상기 배기포오트(5)에 연통하는 배기통로구성수단(9)이, 상기 실린더헤드(1)에 있어서, 그 다른쪽을 향해서 뻗도록 형성되고, 상기 흡기관(8)과 상기 배기통로구성수단(9)을 접속하도록 EGR통로(10)가 형성되고, 이 EGR통로(10)에 EGR밸브(11)가 개재장치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 상기 내연기관이 다기통내연기관으로서, 상기 EGR통로(10)가 각 기통마다 개별로 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  12. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 실린더헤드(1)의 하면에 불꽃점화수단(20)을 구비하고, 이 불꽃점화 수단(20)이, 상기 실린더축선(42)을 따르도록, 상기 연소실(7)의 상부 중앙부분에 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 상기 연료분사수단(18)이, 상기 피스톤(2)의 상면에 형성된 오목한 곳(2A)을 향해서 연료분사를 행하도록 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  14. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 연료분사수단(18)이, 기관의 저부하시에는 압축행정의 후반에서 연료분사를 행하도록 설정되어 있는 동시에, 상기 기관이, 희박공연비연소상태에서 연소를 행하돌고 구성되어있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  15. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 연료분사수단(4)이, 기관의 저부하시에는 희박공연비연소상태에서 연소를 행하기 위하여 기관의 압축행정의 후반에서 연료분사를 행하고, 또한 기관의 고부하시에는 상기 희박공연비연소상태보다 농후공연비상태에서의 연소를 행하도록 기관의 흡기행정에서 연료분사를 행하도록 설정되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  16. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 흡기포오트(4)가, 상기 실린더축선(42)으로부터 격리한쪽의 부분을 상기 실린더축선(2)에 가까운쪽의 부분보다 폭이 넓혀지고, 상기 기관이, 희박공연비 연소상태에서 연소를 행하도록 설정되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  17. 제16항에 있어서, 상기 흡기포오트(4)에 연통하는 흡기관(8)이, 상기 실린더헤드(1)의 상면으로부터 그 다른쪽을 향해서 뻗도록 형성되고, 이 흡기관(8)과 상기 흡기포오트(4)의 상류 쪽에 의해 형성되는 흡기통로부분이, 원활하게 만곡되도록 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  18. 제17항에 있어서, 상기 배기포오트(5)에 연통하는 배기통로구성수단(9)이, 상기 실린더헤드(1)에 있어서 그 다른쪽을 향해서 뻗도록 형성되고, 상기 흡기관(98)과 상기 배기통로구성수단(9)을 접속하도록 EGR통로(10)가 형성되고, 이 EGR통로(10)에 EGR밸브(11)가 개재장치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  19. 제12항에 있어서, 상기 기관이 희박공연비연소상태에서 연소를 행하도록 설정되어 있는 동시에, 상기 흡기구멍(4)에 연통하는 흡기관(8)이, 상기 실린더헤드(1)의 상면으로부터 그 다른쪽을 향해서 뻗도록 형성되고, 상기 흡기관(8)과 상기 흡기포오트(4)의 상류쪽에 의해 형성되는 흡기통로부분이, 원활하게 만곡되도록 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  20. 제19항에 있어서, 상기 배기포오트(5)에 연통하는 배기통로구성수단(9)이, 상기 실린더헤드(1)에 있어서 그 다른쪽을 향해서 뻗도록 형성되고, 상기 흡기관(8)과 상기 배기통로구성수단(9)을 접속하도록 EGR통로(10)가 형성되고, 이 EGR통로(10)에 EGR밸브(11)가 개재장치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
  21. 제12항에 있어서, 상기 기관이 희박공연비연소상태에서 연소를 행하도록 설정되고, 상기 흡기포오트(4)에 연통하는 흡기관(8)이, 상기 실린더헤드(1)의 상면으로부터 그 다른쪽을 향해서 뻗도록 형성되는 동시에, 상기 배기포오트(5)에 연통하는 배기통로구성수단(9)이 상기 실린더헤드(1)에 있어서 그 다른쪽을 향해서 뻗도록 형성되고, 상기 흡기관(8)과 상기 배기통로구성수단(9)을 접속하도록 EGR통로(10)가 형성되고, 이 EGR통로(10)에 EGR밸브(11)가 개재장치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
