Claims (7)

  1. 연장부를 따라 비교적 균일하고 분산된 광 방출을 발생시키기 위한 광원(11)에 있어서, 두개의 단부(39, 41), 즉, 방출면(45)과, 광학적으로 투명하고 비교적 높은 굴절률을 가진 물질로 형성되고, 길이 방향으로 방출된 광을 포획하도록 형성된 다수의 광학 반사면(43, 47, 49, 51, 53)을 갖는 프리즘(13)과; 프리즘내(13)에서 포착되도록 광을 길이 방향으로 방출하도록 배치된 광 방출 수단(17, 19)과; 프리즘(13)내에서 방출면(45)에 길이 방향으로 연장되고, 광이 분산된 길이 방향으로 균일한 방법으로 광방출 수단(17, 19)으로부터 방출될 때 프리즘(13)내에서 포착되 광을 원도우(59)를 통해 방출하도록 형성된, 광학적으로 투명하고 광을 분산시키는 원도우(59)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원.
  2. 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 광 방출 수단이 프리즘(13)의 단부에 배치된 제 1 및 제 2광 방출 다이오드(17, 19)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원.
  3. 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 원도우(59)가 광 방출 다이오드(17, 19)쪽으로 연장됨에 따라 점점 좁아지는 형태를 갖고, 반사를 감소시키고 분산을 증가시키기 위해 같아진 방출면(45)의 일부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원.
  4. 제 3항에 있어서, 상기 원도우(59)가 프리즘(13)의 단부쪽으로 직선적으로 테이퍼진 형태를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원.
  5. 제 4항에 있어서, 상기 프리즘이 육각형 단면을 가지며, 방출면(45)부근에 직각 프리즘면(47, 49, 51, 53)을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원.
  6. 제 5항에 있어서, 상기 프리즘(13)이 폴리카보네이트로 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 광원.
  7. 제 6항에 있어서, 상기 광 방출 다이오드(17, 19)가 폴리카보네이트 프리즘(13)의 단부내에 성형되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광원.
