Claims (18)

  1. 반응에 대해 효과적인 온도 및 압력과 초기 알카리성 pH에서, (a) 2,3-디히드로푸란, (b) 수소, (c) 비치환 지방족 알데히드, 및 (d) 수소화 촉매의 혼합물을 함께 반응시키는 것을 포함하는, 2-알킬-1,4-부탄디올의 제조방법.
  2. (1) 반응에 대해 효과적인 온도 및 압력과 약 8-14의 초기 pH에서, (a) 수소, (b) 수소화 촉매, (c) 2,3-디히드로푸란, (d) R이 수소이거나 1 내지 4개의 탄소 원자를 함유하는 알킬 라디칼인 일반식 R - CHO를 갖는 알데히드를 함께 반응시킨 다음 (여기에서, 2,3-디히드로푸란 : 알데히드의 비는 약 1:1 - 200:1임), (2) 결과 형성된 2 - 알킬 - 부탄디올을 반응물로부터 분리시키는 것을 포함하는, 2-알킬-1,4-부탄디올의 제조 방법.
  3. 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 알데히드가 포름알데히드인 방법.
  4. 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 중량비가 약 2:1 - 25:1인 방법.
  5. 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 pH가 약 10-20인 방법.

  12. 디올을 고리화시켜 테트라히드로푸란 및 3 -메틸테트라히드로푸란의 혼합물을 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 제 8 항의 방법에 따라 제조된 1,4-부탄디올 및 2-메틸-1,4-부탄디올의 혼합물을 디올 출발 물질로서 사용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  13. 디올을 고리화시켜 테트라히드로푸란 및 3-메틸테트라히드로푸란의 혼합물을 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 제 9 항의 방법에 따라 제조된 1,4-부탄디올 및 2- 메틸-1,4-부탄디올의 혼합물을 디올 출발 물질로서 사용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  14. 디올을 고리화시켜 테트라히드로푸란 및 3-메틸테트라히드로푸란의 혼합물을 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 제10항의 방법에 따라 제조된 1,4-부탄디올 및 2-메틸-1,4-부탄디올의 혼합물을 디올 출발 물질로서 사용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  15. 테트라히드로푸란 및 3-알킬테트라히드로푸란의 혼합물로부터 공중합체를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 제11항의 방법에 따라 제조된 테트라히드로푸란 및 3-알킬테트라히드로푸란의 혼합물에 중합 촉매를 첨가시키고 중합에 효과적인 조건하에서 결과 형성된 혼합물을 유지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  16. 테트라히드로푸란 및 3-메틸테트라히드로푸란의 혼합물로부터 공중합체를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 제12항의 방법에 따라 제조된 혼합물에 중합 촉매를 첨가시키고 중합에 효과적인 조건하에서 결과 형성된 혼합물을 유지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  17. 테트라히드로푸란 및 3-메틸테트라히드로푸란의 혼합물로 부터 공중합체를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 제13항의 방법에 따라 제조된 혼합물에 중합 촉매를 첨가시키고 중합에 효과적인 조건하에서 결과형성된 혼합물을 유지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  18. 테트라히드로푸란 및 3-메틸테트라히드로푸란의 혼합물로부터 공중합체를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 제14항의 방법에 따라 제조된 혼합물에 중합 촉매를 첨가시키고 중합에 효과적인 조건하에서 결과형성된 혼합물을 유지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
