본 고안은 광고의 효과나 조명의 효과를 나타내기 위하여 광섬유를 이용한 구동장치의 효과기에 관한 것이다.
종래에도 광섬유를 이용한 효과기가 있었으나 이러한 것들은 빛을 통과시키는 판이 단순히 한가지 색이 나타나는 투명아크릴 색판이었기 때문에 한가지 색만이 광섬유의 말단에 빛을 내게 되어 단조로왔었다.
본 고안은 이렇게 단조로운 효과보다 더 아름답고 변화무쌍한 효과를 얻고자 고안한 것으로, 첨부된 도면에 의거 구조와 작용 효과면을 상세히 설명하면 다음과 같다.
판(1)에 홈을 뚫어 수많은 광섬유(2)를 삽입시켜 말단(8)부분만 돌출되도록 하고 후미(9)부분을 광원(3)과 수평선상에 일치시켜 놓는다.
광섬유(2)의 후미(9)부분과 광원(3)사이에 모타(4)에 의해 구동되는 불투명판(5)를 장치한다. 불투명판(5)에는 수많은 빛 통과홈(6)이 뚫려 있으며 뒷면에는 모자이크와 같이 여러가지 색이 섞여있는 투명아크릴 색판(7)을 부착시킨다.
작용효과면에서 보면, 광원(3)에서 빛을 비추면 빛 통과홈(6)을 통해 투명아크릴 판(7)의 색이 광섬유(2)의 말단(8)에 전달되어 그 색이 빛난다. 이때 불투명판(5)는 모타(4)에 의해 회전하기 때문에 빛은 빛 통과홈(6)과 불투명판(5)에 의해 깜박거리는 동작과 같은 작용을 하게 된다. 그러므로 여러가지 다른 색의 빛이 점멸되어 광섬유(2)의 말단(8)에 전달되어 다양한 색상과 빛이 점멸되는 효과등 변화무쌍한 여러가지 아름답고 환상적인 현상을 연출하도록 한 것이다.

- 불투명판(5)에 수많은 빛 통과홈(6)을 뚫어 놓고 뒷면에 모자이크와 같이 여러가지 색이 있는 투명아크릴 색판(7)을 부착한 광섬유를 이용한 구동장치의 효과기.
