Description
The present invention relates to a gutter cover having a road boundary block made of steel, and more specifically, to a gutter cover having a road boundary block made of steel, in which, among the road boundary stones constructed on the roadside, a road boundary stone adjacent to a gutter through which rainwater flows in is formed into a hollow block made of steel and integrally joined to one side of a grating, so that when a large amount of rainwater flows in while foreign substances such as fallen leaves or household waste have accumulated on the grating, the rainwater is discharged through an open space provided in the block on the side, thereby preventing flood damage, and in addition, the road boundary stone is replaced with a steel block, making construction quick and easy.
In general, one of the important factors to consider when designing a road is the need for an appropriate drainage system to prepare for floods. The purpose of this road drainage system is to minimize flood damage around roads or buildings by ensuring smooth drainage when a large amount of rainwater occurs at once due to sudden heavy rain in a city with densely built-up buildings.
As an example of the above road drainage system, in general roads or at construction sites for residential and apartment complexes, curbs are constructed to separate roads and sidewalks, and in areas adjacent to these road curbs, drainage ditches are constructed at regular intervals to collect and drain rainwater that flows down from the roads and sidewalks.
Figure 1 shows an example of a general construction of a water catchment adjacent to a road curb. The water catchment installed at regular intervals along the road curb separating the roadway and the sidewalk is structured so that the upper part is open to the passage of people and vehicles, while collecting rainwater flowing down from the roadway and the sidewalk and draining it into a rainwater drain. The structure is covered with steel grating.
The above-mentioned drainage ditch was able to drain smoothly when there was little rainfall or when the grating covering the top was properly managed. However, when foreign substances accumulated on the grating or when a sudden downpour caused a large amount of foreign substances to float down together with water, the grating became blocked and the drainage function was significantly reduced, which led to a problem in which accidents and damages due to flooding occurred frequently during heavy rain.
Meanwhile, as an example of a conventional technology for solving the problem of poor drainage caused when foreign substances accumulate on the grating of the above-mentioned water collection hole, a rainwater collecting hole has been proposed, which comprises a concrete body having a drainage pipe formed with a catchment formed on the upper part and a refracted surface formed on the lower part to discharge rainwater, a first space and a second space formed in a concrete support on which a steel grating is fixed in the first space, and a boundary stone installed on the upper part of the second space and having a space of a certain size at the lower part to allow large sediments to easily flow into the second space from the steel grating, as indicated in the registered patent No. 10-0530315.
That is, the purpose is to prevent the drain pipe from being clogged by simply installing a soil catcher that blocks large-grained sediments in a rainwater catcher of a concrete body equipped with a drainage pipe for draining rainwater, and to resolve the phenomenon of the steel grating installed on the upper part of the first space being clogged by allowing large-grained sediments to flow into the second space through the space formed at the bottom of the boundary stone.
However, since the boundary stone that is installed on the second space provided in the concrete body in the above-mentioned conventional technology is made of heavy stone, the work process of installing the stone boundary stone in the exact position of the concrete body is very difficult and challenging compared to when constructing boundary stones in general sections, and the work time is also relatively long, which increases the construction cost.
In particular, when a large amount of sediment accumulates on the steel grating installed on the upper part of the first space, the lower passage of the boundary stone that guides and discharges it to the second space is narrow due to the nature of the stone material, which makes processing very limited. As a result, sediment soaked in rainwater passes through the passage and sticks to the wall, delaying or obstructing discharge. As a result, not only did the discharge function of the sediment deteriorate, but there was also the problem of frequent flood damage due to poor drainage.
The present invention has been made in consideration of the problems of a water catchment constructed adjacent to a conventional road curb stone as described above, and its purpose is to provide a water catchment cover equipped with a road curb block made of steel, in which a section of curb stone constructed long along a roadside adjacent to a water catchment is formed into a hollow steel block and integrally connected to one side of a steel grating covering the water catchment, so that even if foreign substances such as large fallen leaves or trash are piled up on the grating, they can be smoothly discharged together with rainwater through the hollow space of the block, and construction can be made quick and easy by replacing heavy curb stones with lightweight steel blocks.
In order to achieve this purpose, the present invention provides a water collection ditch having a support bar at an upper opening installed in an appropriate section of a curb stone constructed along a roadside to drain rainwater into a rainwater pipe buried underground, and having an outlet connected to the rainwater pipe at the lower portion.
The present invention is characterized by a structure in which a frame having first and second fixing portions on both sides of a bulkhead is installed so that a steel grating and a road boundary block formed of hollow steel are combined to match the adjacent road boundary stone while allowing passage of people or vehicles through the opening, and a passageway facing the grating is formed on one side of the road boundary block that is fixed to the second fixing portion of the frame, and is connected to the opening of the water collection port so as to be in communication with the opening.
The gutter cover having a steel road boundary block of the present invention has the effect of significantly reducing the construction time and cost when constructing a road boundary stone separately from the construction of a gutter by connecting the opening of the gutter with a steel grating and a road boundary block formed of a hollow steel so as to match the existing road boundary stone.
In addition, since the opening provided in the catch basin of the present invention is expanded to the line where the boundary stone is positioned and the expanded portion is hollow and covered with a road boundary block having a passage on one side adjacent to the grating, even when the grating is blocked by foreign substances due to heavy rain or monsoon rain, a large amount of foreign substances can flow into the catch basin through the passage of the road boundary block and be collected, and then smoothly discharged together with the rainwater, thereby preventing flood damage.

Hereinafter, a water collection ditch cover having a road boundary block made of steel material according to the present invention will be described with reference to the attached drawings.
FIGS. 2 and 3 are exploded perspective views showing the overall configuration of a gutter cover having a steel road boundary block of the present invention and a cross-sectional view showing a joint portion of the gutter cover, and FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view showing an example of construction of a gutter cover having a steel road boundary block. The present invention relates to a gutter cover (10) having a support sill (11') in an upper opening (11) exposed to the road surface in a drainage system that collects rainwater flowing down from a roadway (R) and a sidewalk (S) and drains it into a rainwater pipe laid underground, and has an outlet (12) connected to the rainwater pipe at the lower portion.
A frame (20) having first and second fixing portions (21, 22) on both sides of a bulkhead (20') is installed so that a steel grating (30) that collects rainwater flowing down from the roadway and sidewalk while allowing passage of people and vehicles and a road boundary block (40) formed of hollow steel to match the adjacent road boundary stone are respectively combined in the support beam (11') provided in the above opening (11).
The above grating (30) is installed in a first fixing portion (21) provided in a frame (20) like a cover covering an opening (11) of a water collection outlet (10) forming an existing drainage system, and the road boundary block (40) installed in the second fixing portion (22) of the frame (20) is formed in a hollow shape to match the outer shape of a boundary stone constructed along a roadside, but is connected to the opening (11) of the water collection outlet (10) by forming a passage (41) and a penetration portion (42) on one side adjacent to the grating (30).
At this time, when a plurality of bolt holes (23) are formed in the second fixing portion (22) of the frame (20) and the road boundary block (40) is fixed using each bolt (43), the portion through which the bolt (43) penetrates is formed as a vertically facing long hole (44) so that the height of the road boundary block (40) can be adjusted to match the surrounding boundary stones.
Therefore, the present invention, as described above, when constructing a water collection outlet (10) of the present invention in a conventional drainage system that collects rainwater flowing down from a road (R) and a sidewalk (S) and drains it into a rainwater pipe buried underground, the boundary stone of the relevant area is removed, and after completing the foundation work, the opening (11) of the water collection outlet (10) is connected with a steel grating (30) and a road boundary block (40) formed of a steel material that is hollow and shaped to match the existing road boundary stone, thereby significantly reducing the construction time and construction cost when constructing the road boundary stone separately from the construction of the water collection outlet in the past.
In particular, the opening (11') provided in the water collection hole (10) of the present invention is expanded to the line where the boundary stone is positioned, and the expanded portion is hollow and covered with a road boundary block (40) having a passage (41) on one side adjacent to the grating (30). Therefore, even if the grating (30) is blocked by foreign substances due to heavy rain or monsoon rain, a large amount of foreign substances can flow into the water collection hole (10) through the passage (41) of the road boundary block (40) and be collected, smoothly discharged together with the rainwater, thereby preventing flood damage.
