기호도를 평가하기 위하여 2~8세의 건강한 애완묘 27마리를 대상으로 평가를 실시하였다. 상기 표 1의 각각의 복합 추출물 처리에 따라 제조된 임연수, 전갱이, 열빙어, 고등어 및 연어를 동일한 어류에 대해서만 기호도를 비교해 보았으며 이들의 평균 정도를 이용하였다. 평가 방법은 애완묘의 주인이 각각의 조성물을 두 손에 쥐고 동시에 공급하였을 때 애완묘가 충분히 냄새 등을 느낄 수 있도록 한 후 먼저 달려드는 것에 더 높은 점수를 주는 식으로 진행을 하였으며 이를 9점 척도법(9=대단히 좋아한다; 8=좋아한다; 7=좋아하는 편이다; 6=약간 좋아한다; 5=좋지도 싫지도 않아한다; 4=약간 싫어한다; 3=싫어하는 편이다; 2=싫어한다; 1=대단히 싫어한다)에 준하여 나타내었다. 각 애완묘의 주인이 부여한 점수의 총합을 주인의 수로 나눈 후 소수 둘째 자리에서 반올림한 것으로 수치가 높을수록 상대적인 기호도가 우수함을 의미하는 것이다. 이에 따른 기호도 순위도 따로 표시하였다. 그 결과를 하기 표 2에 나타내었다.To evaluate preference, an evaluation was conducted on 27 healthy pet cats aged 2 to 8 years.
