Abstract
The present invention is installed inside the rain gutter cover, and is located between adjacent horizontal bars of the grating bottom coupled in a cross state of the horizontal bars and the vertical bars. It is divided into Structure 1 and Structure 2. The two structures are assembled by bolt hinges by spring hinges. Structure 1 serves to collect the rainwater that enters between the horizontal bars of the grating, and the gap for rainwater inflow corresponding to the upper surface of the structure 1 is made narrow so that garbage cannot enter. Structure 2 is installed inside the structure 1, and when the weight of the collected rain water is more than a certain amount, the structure descends to enable drainage. In addition, when the structure 2 is opened and closed, a prevention pin for preventing the structure from rising excessively due to the restoring force of the spring hinge is installed in the inner portion of the structure 1. As such, the automatic opening and closing rain gutter cover using the weight of the rain water can prevent various wastes from flowing into the rain gutter unless a fluid of a predetermined weight or more is introduced into the grating top.
Description
The present invention relates to an automatic retractable road rain gutter cover structure for preventing dust throwing. More specifically, it normally blocks the inflow of garbage such as cigarette butts and gum, and is open in rainy days to facilitate drainage.
Walking through the streets we often see rain gutters full of trash. Rain gutters are often pierced with square holes, which pass through cigarette butts and small trash casually and even produce food waste without conscience. Afterwards, the garbage is gradually accumulated in the sewer pipe connected to the rain gutter during rainy weather, and eventually, the rainwater in the rainy season drains gradually. In severe cases, the flow of rainwater can be completely blocked, which can often lead to the flow of rainwater and trash back onto the sump. In addition, there are many cases where rubber covers are put in front of the majority of shops to prevent odors caused by garbage dumped in rain gutters. In the case of rain, the rubber cover should be removed in time, but in case of heavy rain, the problem is that the rubber cover that is not removed significantly reduces the overall drainage capacity of the city. Such a manhole cover is proposed in Korean Utility Model Publication No. 0283416.
Therefore, the present invention intends to seriously accept the problem of heavy odor, rainy season sewage backflow due to the garbage accumulated in the rain gutters, and propose a new structure for solving this point. If we design a rain gutter cover that opens only in rainy weather to prevent the inflow of garbage, we think that we can effectively solve the problems. In addition, aesthetic benefits can be expected by minimizing the amount of waste in the rain gutters seen throughout the city, and local governments can emphasize the characteristics of the city by introducing individual designs on the cover.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a rain gutter cover for preventing dirt from being introduced into the rain gutter through the discharge port of the grating, the leaves or various garbage on the road or sidewalk which is not raining in general.
The structure is divided into Structure 1 and Structure 2, and the two structures operate in a connected state through the spring hinges on the side of Structure 1. Structure 1 serves to support the structure, the center of the upper surface is open and there is a minute drain groove so that both sides do not affect the drainage. Rainwater that accumulates around the rain gutter cover enters through this hole. Structure 2 acts as a cover that hides the space between gratings of the grating when water is accumulated, and when water is accumulated, it is drained through the descent. Since structure 2 does not have a side surface, structure 2 descends below structure 1, and a new drainage part is generated on both sides, and drainage is possible through the perforated surface between the upper and lower plates of structure 2.
In the present invention, to automatically open and close the rain gutter cover using a mechanical method. The rain gutter cover that is being used is easy to introduce waste, but the present invention is expected to reduce this problem as much as possible. By installing the present invention, it is possible to reduce the manpower and cost to clean the existing rain gutters. Dirt and butts flowing into sewer pipes are difficult to handle and promote corrosion in the pipes, reducing service life. Design can reduce the cost of replacing urban infrastructure by minimizing the root cause. Socially, design can address the negative effects of odors and garbage in rain gutters.

Although the present invention has been described with reference to the embodiments illustrated in the drawings, this is merely exemplary, and it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various modifications and equivalent other embodiments are possible. Therefore, the true technical protection scope of the present invention will be defined by the technical spirit of the appended claims.
Data showing experimental results according to an embodiment of the present invention. The gratings used in the experiments were 32.2 cm wide, 39.2 cm long and 4 cm high, similar to those shown in FIG. The experiment was also performed when the structure was not installed for the control group. The drainage velocity according to the amount of rainwater is plotted and the average value is given after five experiments with the same variable for the reliability of the experiment.
In the present invention, a method of opening and closing the cover by using water pressure is applied, instead of opening and closing the cover manually by rain. Therefore, it can be applied even in rare places, and it is possible to cope with heavy rain at dawn. Instead of changing the structure of all the existing gratings to be easily removable, it can be installed relatively easily. There is no risk of clogging rain gutters naturally, reducing flood damage, and effectively eliminating odors that often occur in front of shops or in alleys of litter and butts near nightlife. It is also aesthetically superior to conventional rain gutters where dirt is accumulated.
