Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a floating offshore structure, and more particularly, to a floating offshore structure capable of effectively offloading a liquid cargo from a floating type offshore structure to a carrier.
As it is well known, oil and gas have been developed relatively easily in the coastal area, but now the area is gradually expanding to deep sea. Therefore, the oil industry has a floating floating oil production storage and unloading facility (FPSO: floating production storage and offloading), and in the natural gas sector, FLNG (floating liquefied natural gas), which has a liquefied natural gas production facility, has been developed.
In particular, natural gas prior to FLNG development was extracted from the gas field and stored in a land-based LNG plant through a subsea pipeline, which was then shipped and transported to a liquefied natural gas carrier (LNGC). However, FLNG, which is capable of producing, storing and unloading, is proposed as a new alternative.
Recently, a circular type structure proposed in "SEVAN" has been proposed as a floating structure having a liquefied natural gas production facility.
However, side-by-side mooring is required for LNG offloading from a circular floating structure to a liquefied natural gas carrier. The length of the floating structure of a circular type rather than the liquefied natural gas carrier And thus, the stable mooring can not be carried out, and the operation efficiency of the LNG off-loading is deteriorated.
