Abstract

모든 자동차가 비상등을 켜고 달릴 때 좌/우 회전이나 차선변경 등 자동차의 진로를 바꿀 때 좌/우 방향지시등을 켜도 앞/뒤 차량이 어느 쪽으로 갈 것인지 알 수가 없는 것을 방지하기 위하여 비상등과 방향지시등을 같이 켜면 색깔을 달리하여 앞/뒤 차량이 좌/우 회전을 임을 알 수 있게 한다 (도면 참조)

자동차 분야
모든 자동차가 비상등을 켜고 달릴 때 좌/우 회전이나 차선변경 등 자동차의 진로를 바꿀 때 좌/우 방향지시등을 켜도 앞/뒤 차량이 어느 쪽으로 갈 것인지 알 수가 없는 것을 방지하기 위하여 비상등과 방향지시등을 같이 켜면 색깔을 달리하여 앞/뒤 차량이 좌.우 회전을 임을 알 수 있게 한다.
자동차에서 비상등을 켜고 달릴 때도 좌/우 방향지시등을 켜면 방향을 알 수 있게 한다.

비상시에 비상등을 켜고 자동차운행시 앞/뒤 차량이 방향을 몰라 발생하는 자동차 사고를 예방 할 수가 있음

이와 같이 차량이 비상등을 킨 상태에서 좌/우 방향지시등을 켜도 앞/뒤 차량이 해당차량이 어느 쪽으로 방향을 회전 할 것인지를 알 수가 있음
- 방향지시등(turning light)
방향 지시등. 0.5~1초에 1회 점멸하고, 좌/우 회전이나 차선변경 등 자동차의 진로를 바꾸는 신호로 사용되는 라이트 이다.
- 비상등(hazard flash)
비상점멸 표시등이다. 해저드는 위험, 플래시는 점멸신호를 말한다. 노상에서 긴급 정차하고 있을 때 다른 자동차와의 충돌을 피하기 위하여 전/후, 좌/우의 방향 지시등과 보조 방향지시등이 동시에 점멸하는 장치이다.
