Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a pretreatment method of a serpentine for raw material for mineral carbonation, and more particularly, by adding oxalic acid during heat treatment of serpentine to lower the decomposition temperature of the serpentine and generating magnesium oxide (MgO) to improve reactivity of mineral carbonation. The serpentine pretreatment method can be.
Serpentine is a mineral that forms a structure where the silicate layer of tetrahedron and the brucite layer of octahedron intersect. I am attracting attention. However, since most natural minerals, such as serpentine, have a stable crystal state, the carbonation reaction in nature requires considerable time. Therefore, in order to increase the carbonation reactivity, pretreatment methods such as heat treatment, internal grinding, electromagnetic wave irradiation, and acid treatment are used.
The conventional heat treatment of serpentine is carried out at 630 ℃ and destabilizes the crystal structure through the removal of -OH (hydroxyl group) to activate carbonation reaction and elution of magnesium ion (Mg 2+ ). However, carbonization conditions after heat treatment still require high temperatures and pressures of about 155 ° C and 115 atm. For the acid treatment, in order to elute the Mg 2 + present in the serpentine, but using a hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and mixing an organic acid, such as for higher Mg 2 + elution is consumed acid in a large amount, pH is alkaline to a carbonation Since there is a need to move to the area, there is a disadvantage that a large amount of alkaline reagents for raising the pH is required. Therefore, in order to apply the actual mineral carbonation, high energy costs due to high temperature and high pressure carbonation reaction and increase in carbonation costs due to the use of a large amount of alkali reagents are problematic.
The present invention is to solve the problems of the prior art, and solves the problem of the high energy cost according to the high temperature and high pressure carbonation reaction that can occur when used as a raw material of mineral carbonation and the increase of carbonation cost due to the large use of alkali reagents. It is an object of the present invention to provide a serpentine pretreatment method capable of reducing carbonation costs.
본 발명은 상기 목적을 달성하기 위하여 안출된 것으로, 광물탄산화를 위한 원료용 사문석을 전처리하는 방법에 있어서, 1) 사문석을 분쇄하여 43㎛이하의 입도 분말을 얻는 단계; In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a method for pretreatment of a serpentine for raw material for mineral carbonation, comprising: 1) obtaining a particle size powder of 43 μm or less by pulverizing serpentine;
2) mixing the serpentine powder and oxalic acid; And
3) heat-treating the mixture of serpentine and oxalic acid under an inert gas atmosphere; provides a method for pretreatment of serpentine, comprising the.
At this time, the weight ratio of the serpentine powder and oxalic acid of step 2) is characterized in that 0.5 ~ 1.2: 1.6 ~ 2.4. Mixing of the serpentine powder and oxalic acid can lower the decomposition temperature of the serpentine heat treatment step, the eluted magnesium cations (Mg + 2) in a serpentine can be produced by a large amount of magnesium oxide hence improve the carbonation reactivity. At this time, outside the range of the mixed weight ratio, there is a limit in eluting the cation (Mg 2 + ) present in the serpentine, so that the unreacted serpentine is not present, the desired one cannot be expected.
The heat treatment of step 3) is preferably carried out at 450 ~ 550 ℃, it is difficult to produce a large amount of magnesium oxide bar target in the present invention when carried out below 450 ℃, if it exceeds 550 ℃, for energy cost reduction Can't expect the effect. In addition, in the inert gas atmosphere during the heat treatment, the inert gas may be used, such as argon, nitrogen, and the like.
The oxalic acid is characterized in that oxalic acid dihydrate (Oxalic acid dihydrate).
As described above, the serpentine pretreatment method according to the present invention lowers the decomposition temperature of the serpentine by mixing the oxalic acid, which is an organic ligand during the heat treatment, and elutes Mg 2+ cation in the serpentine to generate a large amount of magnesium oxide to give carbonation reactivity. Increasing the mineralization cost by the high temperature and high pressure carbonation reaction that can occur when serpentine using conventional pretreatment as a raw material for mineral carbonation and the increase in carbonation cost due to the use of a large amount of alkali reagents are solved. It is effective to increase the economics of the.

1 is a flow chart showing a process of a method for pretreating untreated serpentine of the present invention, as shown, the serpentine pretreatment method is a serpentine crushing and particle size adjusting step (10), serpentine powder and oxalic acid mixing step (20), mixture It comprises a
The serpentine pulverization and particle
The serpentine powder and oxalic acid mixing step (20) is mixing the serpentine powder in the weight ratio of oxalic acid (Oxalic acid dihydrate (C 2 H 2 O 4 -2H 2 O)) and 0.5 ~ 1.2: 1.6 ~ 2.4 (serpentine: oxalic acid) do. If the amount of oxalic acid is insufficient, there is a limit to elute the cation (Mg 2 + ) present in the serpentine, there is an unreacted serpentine.
Finally, the mixture heat treatment step 30 heat-treats the mixture at 450-550 ° C. for 0.5-4 hours to produce magnesium oxide from serpentine. When the heat treatment temperature is 450 ℃ below, cations present in the serpentine (Mg 2 +) and anions of oxalic acid (2COO -) to (carboxylate anion) to form a chelate (chelate) and the generation of oxalic acid magnesium (Mgnesium Oxalate), 550 When it exceeds C, magnesium oxalate decomposes and exists in a state of magnesium oxide.

However, in Example 1 of the present invention, magnesium oxalate was completely decomposed at a heat treatment temperature of 500 ° C., and magnesium oxide was formed.
3 shows the results of X-ray diffraction analysis of serpentine pretreated under the conditions of Example 1 and Comparative Examples 2 and 3.
