Description
The present invention relates to a solar cell, and more particularly to a method for forming an LBSF back electrode of a solar cell to form the LBSF by a simple process using screen printing.
Recently, as the prediction of depletion of existing energy sources such as oil and coal is increasing, interest in alternative energy to replace them is increasing. Among them, solar cells are particularly attracting attention because they are rich in energy resources and have no problems with environmental pollution. Solar cells include solar cells that generate steam for rotating turbines using solar heat, and solar cells that convert photons into electrical energy using the properties of semiconductors. Refers to photovoltaic cells (hereinafter referred to as "solar cells").
Referring to FIG. 1 showing the basic structure of a solar cell, a solar cell has a junction structure of a p-
In general, the output characteristics of such a solar cell have a total light energy (S ×) incident on the solar cell at a maximum value Pm of the product Ip × Vp of the output current Ip and the output voltage Vp on the output current voltage curve obtained using the solar simulator. I: S is an element area, I is evaluated by conversion efficiency (eta) divided by the intensity of the light irradiated to a solar cell.
In order to improve the conversion efficiency of the solar cell, it is necessary to lower the reflectance of sunlight incident on the solar cell, lower the surface resistance of the solar cell substrate and the contact resistance of the electrode, and reduce the recombination rate of electrons and holes, which are carriers.
There are several ways to reduce the recombination rate of the carrier, one of which is a method of forming a local back surface field (LBSF) on the back of the solar cell. LBSF refers to a region where the impurity concentration injected into the substrate is relatively high among the rear region of the solar cell substrate. For example, when a p-type silicon substrate is used as a solar cell substrate, LBSF refers to a local region where a high concentration of p-type impurities are injected in the rear region of the solar cell substrate. The LBSF is formed in a region where the rear electrode pattern is in contact with the rear surface of the solar cell substrate, and serves to lower contact resistance between the substrate and the rear electrode and reduce recombination of carriers.

이렇게 LBSF(50)가 형성되면, 태양전지 기판(10) 후면에 후면 전극층(60)을 형성하여 LBSF(50), 후면 전극 패턴(40) 및 후면 전극층(60)을 포함하는 LBSF 후면 전극(70)의 형성 공정을 완료하게 된다(도 5).Referring to the drawings, the conventional LBSF back electrode forming method, first to form a passivation layer (passivation layer) 20 on the entire back of the solar cell substrate (10). The
When the

When the
Then, as shown in FIG. 9, the
After the
Meanwhile, in the above-described embodiment, after the
That is, after the
As described above, although the present invention has been described by way of limited embodiments and drawings, the present invention is not limited thereto and is intended by those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains.
