Abstract

A mobile terminal is provided to transmit/receive local area wireless communications signals toward a display panel of a terminal by arranging a loop antenna for local area wireless communications according to the display panel arranged in a front surface of the terminal. A mobile terminal comprises a display panel(110), a loop antenna part(160), and a connection board(131). The loop antenna part for local area wireless communications is arranged according to an outer side of the display panel. The connection board is connected to the display panel and the loop antenna part. The display panel is at least one among a liquid crystal panel, an OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode), a FED(Field Emission Display), and a digital paper display module, and is arranged in at least one position among an inner part and a front part of the terminal. The loop antenna part includes an antenna pattern(162) more than one row and a flexible substrate. The antenna pattern is formed with a loop-shaped according to an outer side of the display panel, and is formed on the flexible substrate. A ferrite sheet is arranged in a bottom part of the loop antenna part.

The embodiment relates to a mobile communication terminal in which a loop antenna is built near a display panel.

In general, a mobile communication terminal transmits / receives a radio frequency (RF) signal with a base station installed near a location where a terminal is located, and receives information and a variety of additional services with a specific counterpart.

The radio signal transmission / reception with the base station is performed through an antenna provided in the mobile communication terminal. The antenna transmits a radio frequency signal received by being connected to the terminal body to a signal processing module installed inside the terminal body. It transmits the radio frequency signal transmitted through the processing module to the outside.

In recent years, by attaching a loop antenna to the mobile communication terminal, additional functions such as a traffic card and an electronic commerce can be provided in the mobile communication terminal in addition to the normal call and Internet functions.

The embodiment provides a mobile communication terminal in which a loop antenna for short-range wireless communication is arranged in a loop form along a display panel.

The embodiment provides a mobile communication terminal in which a loop antenna is arranged on a flexible substrate and a ferrite sheet can be used below the flexible substrate.

As shown in FIG. 2, the mold frame 120 is a frame that supports the entire display device. The mold frame 120 is open and the display panel 110, the light guide plate 121, the optical sheet 122, and the like are opened. Is combined. The optical sheet 122 is stacked on the light guide plate 121, and the display panel 110 is disposed on the optical sheet 122. The driving chip 118 is disposed at one end of the liquid crystal panel 110, and the driving chip 118 is connected to the connection substrate 131 through the contact portion 122 of the lower glass substrate 112. The connection substrate 131 is a flexible substrate and is connected to the main substrate 130. The connection substrate 131 electrically connects one end of the connection portion 122 of the liquid crystal panel 110 and one end of the main substrate 130.

The main board 130 includes a display panel control circuit 140 and a short range wireless communication module 150. The display panel control circuit 140 may be implemented as an LCD control circuit corresponding to the liquid crystal panel 110, and the short range wireless communication module may be implemented as an NFC module. Here, NFC (Near Field Communications) is a wireless short-range communication method that supports data compatibility between mobile communication terminals, home appliances, and PCs within 10 cm, and can communicate in any direction. In addition, the communication frequency will use a band of 13.56MHz. Since such NFC communication schemes vary according to application fields, the present invention is not limited thereto.

As shown in FIG. 2, the main substrate 130 is coupled to the rear surface of the liquid crystal display device 100.

In the loop antenna unit 160, a flexible substrate on which the antenna pattern 162 is formed may be formed in a loop shape. Here, the loop antenna unit 160 is disposed in the form of a loop along the outside of the display panel 110, and the length of the loop antenna may be adjusted to values of inductance and capacitance when designing the antenna.

The antenna pattern 162 of the loop antenna 160 is connected to the connection board 131, thereby transmitting the signal transmitted / received by the connection board 131 to the LCD panel and the antenna pattern.

As shown in FIG. 2, a ferrite sheet 164 is disposed below the loop antenna unit 160. The ferrite sheet 164 is intended to prevent noise from entering the loop antenna unit 160. The ferrite sheet 164 may reduce the influence of a high frequency signal caused by metal around the antenna, and also may be mixed in the display panel 110. Can be reduced.

Referring to FIG. 4, the LCD control circuit 140 is interfaced with the LCD panel 110, and the NFC module 150 performs short-range wireless communication through the loop antenna unit 160. In addition, the LCD control circuit 140 and the NFC module 150 transmits / receives data with the host 135 of the mobile communication terminal 200.

The NFC module 150 includes a control unit (MCU) 151, an input / output unit 152, a UART unit 153, a power supply unit 154, a memory 155, an oscillator 156, and an RF matching unit 157. do. The control unit 151 controls each unit according to short-range wireless communication, and the input / output unit 152 is a general purpose input / output (GPIO) pin to control a specific device or receive data.

The universal asynchronous receiver / transmitter (UART) unit 153 communicates with the serial communication device, the power supply unit 154 supplies power to each module, and the memory 155 transmits and receives various information necessary for communication. Referring to FIG. 5, in the dual display device 100A, the main display panel 110A is disposed at the front side, and the sub display panel 110B is disposed at the rear side. Information is displayed in both directions using the main display panel 110A and the sub display panel 110B.

Each of the display panels 110A and 110B may use at least one of a liquid crystal panel, an organic light emitting diode (OLED), a field emission display (FED), and a digital paper display device.

The ferrite sheet 164 is attached below the outer substrate 130 of the sub display panel 110B, and the loop antenna unit 160 is disposed under the ferrite sheet 164. The loop antenna unit 160 may be implemented as a flexible substrate having an antenna pattern. The ferrite sheet 164 and the loop antenna unit 160 are formed in a loop shape along the circumference of the sub display panel 110B.

Here, the loop antenna unit 160 may be disposed around the main display panel, that is, the upper region of the dual display device 100A, not the bottom. That is, the loop antenna may be arranged in the structure shown in FIG. 2.
