Abstract

A refrigerator is provided to fasten a support panel securely by supporting two front edges of the support panel with holding parts of a frame and fixing two rear edges of the support panel with fastening members. In a refrigerator comprising a main body with a storage compartment and a shelf(30) installed in the storage compartment, the shelf includes a support panel(31) and a frame(32). The frame sustains a rim of the support panel, including support flanges(33), holding parts(34), and fastening members(35). The support flanges are formed around the inner circumference of the frame to support the rim of the support panel. The holding parts are formed at front edges of the frame to hold two front edges of the support panel. The fastening members are installed at rear edges of the frame to secure two rear edges of the support panel. The frame is open upwards on the upper parts of the support flanges, except the holding parts.
