A camera module for selecting a filter is provided to slide a filter module to a left or right side by pushing a handle of the filter module for exposing one of two infrared transmitting and blocking filters to a light transmitting hole selectively. The lower holder includes a light transmitting hole(32) for transmitting light to a camera module body(40), a square box shaped case(34) for mounting the camera module body, and a long groove(30a) for exposing the handle part. The filter module has infrared transmitting and blocking filters(24,22) respectively. The infrared blocking filter is mounted in a left mounted space of a filter frame(26). The infrared transmitting filter is mounted in a right mounted space of the filter frame. A camera module body(50) has a lens holder, a body tube, and a PCB substrate with an image sensor.

In recent years, as portable electronic products such as cellular phones, PDAs, and PMPs are widely used and their contents are increasingly multimedia, the demand for camera modules that can easily capture images is rapidly increasing.

On the other hand, in the case of a general camera, most of the pictures having various effects such as a special effect such as light splitting, a unique color, or a distorted image are not generally seen when taking a picture.
