The present invention relates to a mobile communication terminal that can adjust the font size, and more particularly to a mobile communication terminal that adjusts the font size using SVG.

SVG stands for Scalabel Vector Graphics, which is one of the XML graphics standards and a language based on XML to represent two-dimensional graphics.

As the number of users of mobile communication terminals increases, many types of mobile communication terminals are spread and used. Many kinds of mobile communication terminals have various functions built in for the convenience of users. For example, most mobile communication terminals have a button for controlling a reception volume during a call so that a user can adjust the reception volume and have a function for adjusting the size of a ringtone.

However, the conventional mobile communication terminal does not have a function to adjust the size of the characters, such as to increase the size of the character for people with poor eyesight or the elderly, or to reduce the size of the character to display more information on one page .

Attempts have been made to solve these problems. For example, Korean Utility Model Registration No. 20-031571 discloses a mobile phone terminal having a built-in character size control function.

The mobile phone terminal is provided with an LCD screen displaying various characters, and has a function button for selecting a function for adjusting the size of characters among various buttons of the mobile phone terminal, and a function for adjusting the size of characters is selected. In this case, a button for increasing the size of the text and a button for decreasing the size of the text are provided, respectively.If the size control function is pressed, the button performs a function and if the button for adjusting the size or the size of the text is pressed, the size of the text is increased or decreased at a predetermined ratio. This method discloses a method of adjusting the character size, but a mobile communication terminal to which a specific technique is not yet proposed.

On the other hand, the bitmap graphics method, which is a conventional font output method, had to have a font set suitable for each size when representing characters of various sizes. Therefore, this method has a problem in that it consumes a lot of memory when trying to represent characters of various sizes.

The present invention has been made in view of this point, and an object thereof is to provide a mobile communication terminal capable of adjusting the size of a font using SVG in a mobile communication terminal.

According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a memory for storing fonts written in XML, an SVG module for converting the font to SVG format, a controller for adjusting the size of the font converted to SVG format, And a display unit for displaying the font under control.

The display unit 120 is for showing various information to the user, and an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is mainly used. In one embodiment of the present invention, the display unit 120 displays the font under the control of the controller 140.

The memory 130 stores programs and data necessary for the mobile communication terminal to operate, and various devices such as erasable programmable read only memory (EPROM), static random access memory (SRAM), and flash memory may be used. In one embodiment of the present invention, the memory 130 stores a font written in XML.

The controller 140 controls the overall operation of the mobile communication terminal. The controller 140 may be a microprocessor or a digital signal processor (DSP). The control unit 140 also includes a baseband signal processing circuit for processing the baseband signal from the radio circuit unit 150. In an embodiment of the present invention, the control unit 140 adjusts the size of the font converted into the SVG format.

The radio circuit unit 150 is a circuit for transmitting and receiving voice and control information with a base station wirelessly. Receives a call signal sent by an external mobile communication terminal through an antenna and transmits it to the control unit 140, or transmits the data stored in the memory 130 to the caller's mobile communication terminal through the antenna. .

The SVG module 160 performs a function of converting the font into the SVG format.

The analog voice processor 170 converts and amplifies a digital voice signal into an analog voice signal and outputs the amplified voice signal to the speaker SP, or amplifies the voice signal from the microphone MIC and converts the digital voice signal into a digital signal.

2A to 2C are screen examples of a mobile communication terminal showing a state in which a font size is adjusted according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

2A illustrates an example of a screen in which a user of a mobile communication terminal inputs a letter of 'a'. In order to enlarge the font of the letter 'A', when the user presses the operation button of the mobile communication terminal, the font is enlarged. An example of the screen at this time is shown in FIG. 2B.

On the contrary, when the user presses the operation button of the mobile communication terminal to reduce the font of the character, the font is reduced. 2C is a screen example illustrating this.

This process is performed in the control unit 140 using the SVG module 160, it is possible to easily adjust the size of the character in one font set.
