기존의 자동차 후미등은 적색의 정지 혹은 야간등과 황색의 회전신호등, 그리고 백색의 후진등 으로 구성되어 자동차 디자인에 한계가 있고, 후미등 제작에 많은 공정이 필요하다. 따라서 이러한 점을 보완하고자 상용화 되어있는 적, 황색 표현이 가능한 단일 LED 와 고광도 LED 를 이용하여 후미등을 단일 백색으로 제작하고자 함이다.Conventional vehicle taillights consist of a red stop or night light, a yellow turn signal light, and a white reversing light, which limits the design of the car. 기존의 후미등은 반사경의 두께와 전구의 두께 때문에 트렁크의 공간을 차지하나 본 단일 신호등은 반사경이 필요하지 않아 얇게 제작 가능하여 차량의 트렁크 공간을 절약할 수 있다. 적색과 황색 플라스틱을 사용하지 않아 미려한 외관과 제작이 용이하며, 일반 전구형 후미등 보다 수명이 길다.Conventional taillights occupy the space of the trunk because of the thickness of the reflector and the bulb, but this single traffic light does not need the reflector, so it can be made thin and save the trunk space of the vehicle. 단일 후미등은 기존의 2색 표현이 가능한 LED 와 후진등을 위한 고광도 LED 가 동일 기판에 부착되어 있으며 2색 LED 와 고광도 LED 는 별도로 병렬로 연결되어있다. 기존의 후미등은 반사경의 두께와 전구의 두께 때문에 트렁크의 공간을 차지하나 본 단일 신호등은 반사경이 필요하지 않아 얇게 제작 가능하여 차량의 트렁크 공간을 절약할 수 있다. 적색과 황색 플라스틱을 사용하지 않아 미려한 외관과 제작이 용이하며, 일반 전구형 후미등 보다 수명이 길다. 또한 한 두개의 LED 가 고장이 나도 나머지가 보완을 해주므로 후진등의 고장으로 인한 사고 위험을 방지 할 수 있다.Conventional taillights occupy the space of the trunk because of the thickness of the reflector and the bulb, but this single traffic light does not need the reflector, so it can be made thin and save the trunk space of the vehicle.
