Claims (18)
- 2개 이상의 광학적으로 중첩하는 스크린을 갖도록 구성된 다중 초점면(multi focal-plane) 디스플레이의 정면 스크린의 매트 표면(matt surface)을 변환하는 방법에 있어서,상기 정면 스크린에 광학적으로 매끄러운 표면을 제공하도록 상기 매트 표면을 변경하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 적어도 하나의 상기 스크린은 LCD 스크린인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 매트 표면은 편광자 막 상에 형성되는 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 편광자 막은 편광층을 싸고 있는 보호 투명층으로 형성되는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 정면 스크린에 광학적으로 매끄러운 표면을 제공하도록 상기 매트 표면을 변경하는 단계는 상기 매트 표면에 적어도 부분적으로 투명한 코팅을 도포하는 것을 포함하는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 코팅은 유동성 물질로서 도포되고 그 후에 경화되어 광학적으로 평탄한 외부 표면을 형성하게 되는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 코팅은 상기 매트 표면을 갖는 재료와 실질적으로 동일한 굴절률을 갖는 재료로 이루어지는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 코팅은 상기 매트 표면의 임의의 광학적 불규칙, 왜곡, 돌출, 또는 불연속 부분의 위, 주위 및/또는 내부에 충분한 두께로 흘러서 실질적으로 광학적으로 평탄한 외부 표면을 형성하게 되는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 코팅은 페인팅, 스프레잉, 스퍼터링, 증착법(vapor deposition), 슬러리 코팅(slurry coating), 화학적 성막(chemical deposition), 스크린 프린팅 또는 롤 코팅(roll coating)을 포함하는 군으로부터 선택된 기술에 의해 도포되는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 정면 스크린에 광학적으로 매끄러운 표면을 제공하도록 상기 매트 표면을 변경하는 단계는 광학적으로 매끄러운 투명막과 상기 매트 표면과의 사이에 개재된 투명 접착제에 의해 상기 매트 표면에 광학적으로 매끄러운 투명막을 부착하는 것을 포함하는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 접착제는 처음에 상기 막의 하부 표면에 도포되는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 접착제는 상기 막과 독립적으로 상기 매트 표면에 도포되는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 접착제 및 막은 상기 매트 표면을 갖는 재료와 실질적으로 동일한 굴절률을 갖는 재료로 이루어지는 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 접착제는 실질적으로 광학적으로 평탄한 외부 표면을 형성하도록 상기 매트 표면의 임의의 광학적 불규칙, 왜곡, 돌출, 또는 불연속 부분의 위, 주위 및/또는 내부에 충분한 두께로 흐를 수 있는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 정면 스크린에 광학적으로 매끄러운 표면을 제공하도록 상기 매트 표면을 변경하는 단계는 상기 매트 표면을 갖는 기존의 재료를 제거하고 광학적으로 매끄러운 표면을 갖는 재료로 대체하는 것을 포함하는 방법.
- 상기 청구항들 중 어느 한 항에 청구된 방법에 의해 제조된 디스플레이.
- 실질적으로 첨부 도면 중 어느 하나에 도시되고, 그것을 참조하여 이상에서설명된 것과 같은 방법.
