Abstract

PURPOSE: A back light unit of a liquid crystal display is provided to apply light emitted from a lamp to a light incident plane of a light guide plate, thereby reducing dark parts appearing on a screen. CONSTITUTION: A lamp(201) is connected with a lamp electrode(202) in a lamp glass(200), and is formed of a lamp lead(208). A wire(212) is soldered with the lamp lead. A lamp holder(230) is inserted into to be laid across a part of the lamp and the wire, and exposes a light incident plane of a light guide plate(220). The lamp holder is formed of a transparent material to transmit light(222) emitted from the lamp.
