PURPOSE: A cover relay for hermetic compressor is provided to achieve an improved safety and productivity by avoiding deformation caused due to shrinkage after mold. CONSTITUTION: A compressor motor protruded toward the center of a relay bracket(20) mounted at the outer wall of a compressor case(10), has a terminal(12a) coupled with a relay(30), and another terminal connected with a lower terminal of an overload protector(40). A plug socket terminal(41) protruded in the direction opposite to the lower terminal of the overload protector, is inserted into the plug socket. A cover relay(100) is coupled to the relay bracket via a clamp(60), in such a manner as to accommodate the relay and the overload protector. The cover relay comprises a case(110) having a hollow interior and an opened rear portion; a clamp mount portion(120) protruded along the front and both side surfaces of the case; and a square C-shaped power cord mount portion formed at the bottom surface of the case so as to lead the power cord to the outside.
