Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for announcing statuses of cordless portable parts(CPPs) in a wireless private automatic branch exchange(WPABX) system is provided to make an originating subscriber exactly know a current status of a receiving CPP, by supplying an announcement informing the originating subscriber that a received call of the CPP is not available if a handshaking process with the CPP is failed. CONSTITUTION: A wireless private automatic branch exchange(WPABX) system has an announcement unit, an exchange, base stations, many cordless portable parts(CPPs). The announcement unit broadcasts announcements with voices. The exchange has base station interfaces. The base stations are connected to the base station interfaces with a wire. The CPPs are wirelessly connected each of the base stations.
