상기 펜촉의 전단 중앙부에는 분리홈이 형성되어 상기 펜촉의 전단은 상호소정 간격 이격된 제1팁과 제2팁으로 분리되며,
상기 형광펜은,
상기 분리홈 내부에서 전후방으로 슬라이딩 가능하게 마련되어, 상기 제1팁 및 상기 제2팁의 사이 간격을 조절하도록 구비되는 분리판과;
상기 분리판의 외주면에 연장형성되되 상기 헤드를 관통하여 상기 헤드의 외측으로 노출되는 조절부재와;
상기 분리판이 상기 조절부재에 의해 전후방으로 이송된 위치에 고정 및 고정해제되도록 하는 고정부재;를 더 포함하며,
상기 분리홈은 전단으로 갈수록 좁은 수직단면적을 가지도록 테이퍼지게 형성되고, 상기 분리판은 상기 분리홈과 대응되도록 전단으로 갈수록 좁은 수직단면적을 가지도록 테이퍼지게 마련되며,
상기 제1팁 및 상기 제2팁은,
상기 분리판과의 접촉상태일 경우 서로 멀어지고, 상기 분리판과의 접촉해제 상태인 경우 수축 복원하도록, 탄성 소재로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 두께조절이 가능한 형광펜.
