Description
The present invention relates to a wet mask for disaster firefighting, and more specifically, to a wet mask for disaster firefighting, which comprises a mask body provided in a wet state, an oxygen generating unit for generating oxygen is installed on both inner sides of the mask body, and a hemispherical frame unit having ear loops on both sides is joined to the outer peripheral surface of the mask body, so that the mask body can be worn on the face as closely as possible using the ear loops and at the same time, an end of the frame unit presses the mask body, thereby enabling the mask body to be worn as closely as possible to the face, and the frame unit joined to the mask body can prevent high-temperature heat from flowing into the mask body as much as possible, and when a fire breaks out, if the user wears a wet mask, the user not only does not directly inhale high-temperature smoke, but also can breathe with continuously supplied oxygen, thereby preventing suffocation due to smoke inhalation, and thereby enabling quick evacuation from a fire area.
In general, in the case of disasters that generate large amounts of smoke, such as fires, forest fires, and explosive explosions, the most basic and important evacuation method is to 'cover your nose and mouth with a wet towel or something similar' and move quickly.
In our country, where high-rise buildings, tunnels, and subways are used a lot, there is a lot of damage caused by smoke and toxic gases. In the case of a fire, toxic gases can cause fainting after 1 minute of inhalation and death after 5 minutes. According to statistics, in the case of fire, suffocation due to gas and smoke accounts for more than 60% of fire deaths.
Therefore, in an emergency, you need to quickly obtain items such as towels and water to wet the towels. However, it is not easy to immediately obtain the necessary items in an emergency situation, and it is especially difficult to obtain water in places other than home.
In particular, in subway stations or buildings used by the public, such as buildings, schools, and houses, smoke masks for fire escapes are mainly used because their purification ability is lower than that of gas masks, but they are simple in structure, small in volume, easy to prepare or carry, and can be quickly put on.
As the name suggests, smoke masks are designed to prevent people from directly inhaling toxic gases or smoke generated during a fire. When a fire occurs, most casualties are caused by suffocation from inhaling toxic gases or smoke generated during a fire, rather than from the flames.
When a fire breaks out indoors, the interior materials or furniture ignite and the fire grows until it reaches the ceiling, rapidly spreading horizontally, increasing the combustion area and promoting the thermal decomposition of remaining combustibles in the room due to the large amount of radiant heat. When the combustible gas and air generated at this time mix within the combustion range, the fire rapidly expands and the entire room becomes engulfed in flames. This process is called the flashover phenomenon.
The time until this flashover phenomenon occurs is usually only about 5 to 6 minutes, and once a flashover occurs, the fire is not easy to extinguish, so in order to reduce casualties in a fire, the fire scene must be evacuated before the flashover phenomenon occurs.
Since the location of the fire cannot be specified, the smoke mask for fire escape must have a simple structure, be small in size, light in weight, and be inexpensive, so that it can be installed in all places where there is a risk of fire without being restricted by space or cost, and can be worn quickly and easily on site when an actual fire breaks out.
Accordingly, wet masks soaked in water are provided.
However, conventional wet masks have a problem where the user cannot breathe properly because the mask repeatedly sticks to the nose and then falls off every time the user breathes when wearing the wet mask on the face.

When manufacturing the above mask body (10), the outer skin (11), the inner skin (12), and a plurality of filter papers (13) are laminated, and the outer surface is ultrasonically heat-bonded, and the middle portion is heat-bonded vertically to form an intermediate joint (14) in the middle of the mask body (10), so that even if the mask body (10) is formed of multiple layers, the mutual bonding strength is improved, and a pair of connecting pieces (15) that are riveted to the upper and lower ends of the intermediate joint (14) are connected so that both sides of the intermediate joint (14) are joined together so that even when wet, the outer skin, the inner skin, and a plurality of filter papers that form the mask body (10) can be maintained in a strongly bonded state.
The above frame part (20) is made of a synthetic resin material with elasticity and is made into a hemispherical shape to allow the mask body (10) to maintain a dome shape.
The above frame part (20) is joined to the outer surface of the mask body (10) using a joining means (70).
It is disclosed that the above-mentioned connecting means (70) is composed of Velcro or, although not shown in the drawing, double-sided tape or a snap button.
On both sides of the above frame portion (20), a through hole (21) is formed to expose the oxygen generating portion (40) coupled to the mask body (10) to the outside.
A pair of connecting holes (22) are formed on both sides of the above frame portion (20), and an earring string (60) is connected to the connecting holes (22) as shown in Fig. 1.
By attaching the earring string (60) to the above-mentioned joining hole (22), when the mask body (10) is worn on the face using the earring string (60), the end of the frame part (20) continuously presses the outer surface of the mask body (10), so that the mask body (10) can be worn as closely as possible on the face.
An oxygen generating unit (40) coupled to the inner surface of the above mask body (10) provides the function of generating oxygen.
The above oxygen generating unit (40) forms an oxygen housing (41) with porous holes (42) formed on the surface inside the frame unit (20), and an oxygen capsule (43) that generates oxygen by reacting with water or carbon dioxide is embedded inside the oxygen housing (41).
The above oxygen capsule (43) may include a metal oxide, activated carbon, and a catalyst. The metal oxide may be any one of potassium superoxide (KO2), sodium peroxide (Na2O2), calcium oxide, magnesium peroxide, potassium peroxide, and sodium peroxide. The catalyst may be any one of catalase, peroxidase, potassium iodide, and manganese dioxide.
Meanwhile, since the wet mask of the present invention has a mask body (10) that is wet with water, the oxygen capsule (43) must be isolated from the water in normal times. To this end, a sealing film (51) that is bonded to the inner wall of the packaging (50) is attached to the surface of the oxygen housing (41) so that the porous holes (41) are blocked and the oxygen capsule (43) is isolated from the water. When the wet mask is used, when the wet mask is taken out from the packaging (50), the sealing film (51) is naturally separated from the surface of the oxygen housing (41), thereby opening the porous holes (41), so that the oxygen capsule (43) can react with water or carbon dioxide to generate oxygen.
If configured as above, the sealing film (51) automatically falls off from the surface of the oxygen housing (41) when the wet mask is taken out of the packaging (50), so it is expected that the use will be more convenient.
The above packaging (50) accommodates a wet mask and accommodates the mask body (10) in a sealed state while it is wet.
One end of a sealing film (51) for sealing the surface of the oxygen housing (41) mentioned above is combined inside the packaging (50).
The operating state of the wet mask of the present invention configured in this manner is described as follows.
First, when a user opens the packaging (50) to use a wet mask in the event of a fire and then takes out the mask body (10) from the packaging (50), one end of the sealing film (51) attached to the surface of the oxygen housing (41) is bonded to the packaging (50), so that the sealing film (51) is separated from the surface of the oxygen housing (41), and the porous holes (42) formed on the surface of the oxygen housing (41) are opened, thereby allowing the oxygen capsules (43) filled inside the oxygen housing (41) to come into contact with the outside.
In this state, when the user wears the mask body (10) on the face using the ear loop (60) provided on the frame part (20), as shown in the drawing, the outer part of the frame part (20) presses the front of the mask body (10), so that the mask body (10) can be worn as closely as possible on the face while the central part of the mask body (10) is spaced apart from the nose and mouth, as shown in the drawing.
At this time, when the user breathes, outside air passes through the mask body (10), and during this process, the temperature of the outside air decreases as it passes through the wet mask body (10), so the user can inhale air that is lower in temperature than the outside air.
In addition, since the oxygen capsule (43) reacts with water or carbon dioxide and generates oxygen after putting on the wet mask, the user does not have any difficulty breathing due to the oxygen provided by the oxygen capsule (43).
