Description

냉각효율이 개선된 전력감소형 미세조류 배양용 광배양기{Power reduction type photoreactor for culturing microalgae with increased cooling efficiency}{Power reduction type photoreactor for culturing microalgae with increased cooling efficiency}

The present invention relates to a light incubator, and more specifically, to a power-saving light incubator for cultivating microalgae with improved cooling efficiency, which can improve the life of a light source by reducing the internal temperature and, at the same time, reduce the power required to cool a culture medium.

(K. Miyashita, Lipid Technology, August/September 2009, Vol. 21, No. 8/9). In general, recent research results have been reported that the components contained in seaweed are beneficial to human health. In particular, fucoxanthin, a unique carotenoid found abundantly in brown algae, has been reported to have an anti-obesity effect (K. Miyashita, Lipid Technology, August/September 2009, Vol. 21, No. 8/9).

The anti-obesity mechanism of fucoxanthin is characterized by inducing the expression of uncoupling protein 1 (UCP 1) in white adipose tissue (WAT) mitochondria, thereby causing fatty acid oxidation and thermogenesis in WAT, thereby inducing apoptosis of adipocytes.

UCP 1 is a key molecule in anti-obesity effects. The expression of UCP 1 is known to be an important factor in body energy consumption, and obesity is likely to occur when UCP 1 is dysfunctional.

The experiment and the results showing the relationship between fucoxanthin and UCP 1 expression are disclosed in the above-mentioned literature. According to the above-mentioned literature, it was found that fucoxanthin induces the protein and mRNA expression of UCP 1 in WAT. This is thought to be due to the structural features of fucoxanthin, namely, the additional hydroxy substituent and allene bond on the side chain group of fucoxanthin metabolites, fucoxanthinol and amaroucaxanthin A (H. Maeda, Molecular Medicine Reports 2: 897-902, 2009; and K. Miyashita, supra).

Fucoxanthin has been separated and purified from brown algae in the past, but its concentration is not high and separation and purification are time-consuming and costly, so attempts have been made to separate fucoxanthin from microalgae.

However, due to limitations in culture media and cultivation technology, it takes a lot of time and money to secure production volumes sufficient to isolate sufficient amounts of fucoxanthin from microalgae.

There have been some laboratory-level attempts to cultivate microalgae using synthetic media, but these are difficult to scale up to an industrial scale, and there are also cost limitations as expensive synthetic media must be purchased.

Microalgae are microorganisms that photosynthesize using light and are highly dependent on light. It is known that there is a problem in that the culture density decreases rapidly when cultured under light-limited conditions. As a result, a lot of artificial lighting is used to culture microalgae, which leads to the problem of high electricity consumption.

The present invention has been proposed to solve the problems of the prior art described above, and its purpose is to provide a light incubator for cultivating microalgae with improved energy saving and culture efficiency, which can improve the life of a light source by reducing the internal temperature and, at the same time, reduce the power required for cooling the culture solution.

In the present invention, the upper pipe (200) is open at both ends and sealed at the center inside by a partition (220). In addition, the upper pipe (200) has a first connecting pipe (210) that protrudes downward and is formed in a row on the lower surface, and the end of the first connecting pipe (210) is open and the upper end of the internal light source rod (100) is connected.

In this process, heat generated from the LED module (50) mounted in the hollow space (102) is cooled by the outside air.

Preferably, a coupling cap (110) with an open hollow is mounted on the top of the internal light source rod (100). Preferably, as shown in Fig. 2, an electrode (111) is formed on one surface of the coupling cap (110), and a corresponding electrode (211) is formed on the inner surface of the first connecting pipe (210), thereby making it possible to supply power to the LED module.
