The present invention relates to a photobioreactor capable of temperature control, and more particularly, to a photobioreactor capable of controlling temperature, comprising a flow pipe through which hot water or cooling water flows in a reaction part made of vinyl material to maintain the temperature of the reaction part, The present invention relates to a photo-bioreactor capable of controlling a temperature at which a photosynthetic microorganism does not accumulate in a permeate portion of a reaction portion, because a culture liquid is circulated by injecting gas injected through the inside of a reaction portion.

Global oil crises such as depletion of petroleum and natural gas and instability of supply and demand systems are being created. In addition, restrictions on the use of fossil fuels are becoming apparent in order to protect ecosystems such as climate change and environmental destruction.

As a result, countries around the world are striving not only to develop new and renewable energy, but also to increase the efficiency of existing thermal power generation and to raise the environment friendly. Biological energy production technology using photosynthetic microorganisms is also attracting attention.

In recent years, research on the use of photosynthetic microorganisms has focused on the production of biofuels for transportation, due to the increase in prices of cereal resources due to the production of biofuels and concerns about food resources. In addition to basic research on the genomes and genes of photosynthetic microorganisms, System research and other applied researches are on a large scale

Photosynthetic microorganisms can grow using water, carbon dioxide and sunlight, and they can be cultivated anywhere in wastelands, coasts, and oceans, and they do not compete with existing land crops in terms of land or space. Photosynthetic microorganisms accumulate large amounts of lipids (up to 70%) in vivo according to culture conditions, and oil (lipid) production per unit area is 50-100 times higher than conventional edible crops such as soybeans, Very high. Biodiesel, which is produced from photosynthetic microorganisms such as microalgae as a raw material, can reduce pollutants such as fine dust and sulfur compounds compared with conventional diesel fuel and is suitable as an environment friendly vehicle fuel.

Photosynthetic microorganisms can be cultivated in large quantities, and unlike edible crops, they can be harvested on a daily basis. In addition, photosynthetic microorganisms can directly absorb high-concentration carbon dioxide (15% level) in the by-product gas such as thermal power plants, so that the effect of reducing carbon dioxide is also great.

In addition, photosynthetic microorganisms (biomass) have received great interest as potential production materials for high value-added pharmaceuticals, pigments, cosmetics, nutrients for proteins and carbohydrates, and fine chemicals. Carotene, astaxanthin, whole-cell dietary supplements, whole-cell aquaculture feeds, polyunsaturated fatty acids, heavy isotope labeled metabolites, phycoerythrin (fluorescent labels), anticancer drugs, And pharmaceutical proteins, are being sold worldwide.

These technologies for producing high value-added products using photosynthetic microorganisms are largely composed of 1) cultivation of photosynthetic microorganisms, 2) harvesting, 3) extraction of useful substances, and 4) product conversion. The process of culturing double photosynthetic microorganisms is very important from the viewpoint of economical efficiency of the entire process. For example, microalgae cultivation, harvesting, oil extraction and biodiesel conversion processes cost 42%, 22%, 20% and 16%, respectively, for the microalgae biofuel production technology.

In order to efficiently produce photosynthetic microorganisms, development of high efficiency photobioreactors and high concentration culture techniques has been attempted. The method of culturing photosynthetic microorganisms such as microalgae can be roughly classified into a method using an outdoor culture method and a method using a photobioreactor.

In the case of the outdoor culture method, for example, in the form of a pond or a water channel circulating the medium through the outer ring, it is difficult to cultivate a high concentration and to be contaminated by other microorganisms, thereby increasing the cost of recovering the photosynthetic product There are disadvantages.

Therefore, it is possible to produce high-value-added materials such as biofuels, pharmaceuticals, health foods and feeds using photosynthetic microorganisms, and in particular, a technology for mass-culture of photosynthetic microorganisms at a high concentration is required in the biological CO 2 immobilization process, Demand for photobioreactors is increasing.

As a background art of the present invention, there is known a "bubble top photobioreactor" of Korean Patent No. 0439971 (filed on September 18, 2002), which forms a chamber A transparent jacket provided on the outer surface of the transparent jacket for separating the light emitting body from the culture liquid and allowing heat exchange; A baffle plate that forms a circulation path by dividing a rising portion and a descending portion of the baffle plate and an aeration device that feeds the gas upward at a lower end portion of one portion divided by the baffle plate to cause upward flow of the culture liquid.

Therefore, it is possible to circulate the culture liquid without any stirring, minimize the light transmission distance to the circulating culture medium, and transmit the light energy to the maximum surface area of the culture liquid, which is suitable for high concentration cultivation of photosynthetic microorganisms.

On the other hand, in countries where installation sites such as Korea are lacking, there is a high possibility of practical application of a photobioreactor in which cylindrical columns are arranged vertically in order to increase light utilization efficiency.

However, the conventional photobioreactor using a cylindrical column is difficult to mass-scale due to high installation cost and management manpower due to the complexity of the reactor structure, and it is difficult to mass-culture the photosynthetic microorganisms according to the cultivation of individual columns.

The main factors affecting the growth of microalgae are concentration of nutrients, light intensity, and temperature. Microalgae have different temperatures at which species can grow, and there are dead temperatures and optimum growth temperatures. Most microalgae can metabolize photosynthesis and cell division in the range of 15-30, and the optimum growth temperature is about 20 ~ 25. As the temperature increases in the temperature range below the optimum temperature for growth, microalgae tend to increase photosynthesis and cell growth. It is also known that at temperatures above the optimum growth temperature, the growth of microalgae is seriously inhibited. In most outdoor cultures, microalgae are often below the metabolic limit temperature range, and the production efficiency of microalgae may be affected not only by seasonal temperature differences but also by diurnal variation. Therefore, in order to improve biomass productivity of microalgae, it is very important to adjust the incubation temperature to the optimum growth temperature.

In addition, light is an essential energy source for the growth of microalgae and is therefore the most important consideration in the cultivation of microalgae. When light is supplied over a certain intensity, the rate of photosynthesis increases faster than the rate of respiration, and its velocity is proportional to the intensity of the light. When light of sufficient intensity is supplied, the growth of microalgae is no longer affected by the light intensity. However, it has been reported that it is difficult to supply sufficient light to the entire reactor in actual cultivation, and most microalgae culture is limited by light. Since light is not stored in culture vessels, it is important to use the light energy efficiently. In addition, if the optical path in the photobioreactor becomes longer than the depth of the photoactive zone, the amount of photons reaching the zone outside the photoactive zone is small and the photosynthetic activity of the microalgae is lowered. Therefore, the performance of the photobioreactor focuses on how efficiently light is transmitted. The photobioreactor designed in this development has a large number of permeable parts, which makes it easy to control the thickness of the reactor and can increase the surface area exposed to sunlight. When the light is supplied to the photobioreactor arranged vertically to the mount, light can be supplied to the photobioreactor mounted behind through the transmissive portion of the photobioreactor, so that the supplied light can be used effectively. In addition, the permeable portion can also function to partition the inside of the reactor, so that the flow of the gas supplied into the culture liquid and the circulation path of the culture liquid can be adjusted.

FIG. 1 is a view showing a temperature controllable photobioreactor according to an embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 1, there is shown a photobioreactor in which a culture space is formed inside, a plurality of transmissive portions 12 are formed, (10), an injection port (30) which is connected to the lower end of the reaction part (10) to inject gas into the culture space, and a hot water or cooling water injected from the outside into the reaction part A flow pipe 20, and a fixing unit 40 for fixing the reaction unit 10 away from the paper surface.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the reaction part 10 is formed of a vinyl material, and a culture space is formed therein, and a plurality of transmission parts 12 are formed by thermal bonding in a vertical direction.

The reaction part 10 discharges oxygen generated by the photosynthetic microorganisms grown in the culture medium in the culture space and has an inlet / outlet part 11 on the upper side for injecting the culture liquid into the reaction part 10.

The reaction part 10 can be used without any particular limitation as long as it is transparent for easy growth of photosynthetic organisms and has excellent light transmittance. The reaction part 10 can be formed of polyethylene (PE), low density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) Polyethylene (HDPE), Oriented Polypropylene (OPP), Terephthalate and Unleaded Polypropylene Mixed Film (PET + CP), Lead Free Polypropylene (CPP), Nylon, Biaxially Oriented Nylon (ON) (PES), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), vinylidene chloride (PVDC), ethylene vinyl acetate (PES), polyvinyl chloride (EVA), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polypropylene (PP), inflated polypropylene (IPP) and polyphenylene oxide (PPO = PPE) have.

The reaction part 10 thus formed is advantageous in that it has light transmittance, lightness and transparency, and excellent mechanical strength, as compared with glass, acrylic, etc. widely used as a reaction vessel material of a photosynthetic bioreactor.

The permeable portion 12 of the reaction part 10 is formed in a straight line in the vertical direction so that the gas supplied from the injection port 30 connected to the lower end can flow upward.

At this time, the gas is allowed to circulate together with the culture liquid of the reaction part 10 while being vertically rising in the culture space. The culture liquid which has risen vertically flows from the upper end of the permeable portion 12 to both sides and flows into the side culture space and descends and circulates inside the culture space.
