Description

단량체의 염을 거쳐 제조되는 폴리이미드 및 그 제조방법{Preparation method for polyimide from salt of monomer and the polyimide thereby}[0001] The present invention relates to a polyimide which is produced through a salt of a monomer and a preparation method thereof,

The present invention relates to a polyimide prepared through a salt of a monomer and a process for producing the same.

High heat-resistant polymer materials such as polyimide are indispensable materials for miniaturization, high performance, and high reliability of products due to the development of advanced technology. They are used in the form of films, molded products, fibers, paints, adhesives and composites, / Electronics, automobiles and precision instruments.

Polyimide (PI) among the high heat-resistant polymer materials has excellent mechanical strength, chemical resistance, weather resistance, and heat resistance based on the chemical stability of the imide ring. In addition, it is easy to synthesize, can be made into a thin film film, has a merit that it does not need a crosslinking agent for curing, and is attracting attention as a high functional polymer material ranging from microelectronics and optical fields due to its excellent electrical properties.

In recent years, weight reduction and miniaturization of products have been emphasized in the field of display, but currently used glass substrates are heavy and broken, and continuous process is difficult. Therefore, a plastic substrate having the advantage of being light, flexible, and continuous process by replacing the glass substrate can be manufactured and used as a surface protective material or base resin for a semiconductor device such as an insulating film or a protective coating, a flexible circuit board or an integrated circuit, But also for forming an interlayer insulating film or a protective film. In particular, when used as a coating material, a protective material to which a molded article such as a polyimide film is adhered with an adhesive, a liquid polyimide resin solution, or the like can be used.

A representative example of polyimide synthesis methods reported so far is the synthesis of a precursor, polyamic acid (PAA) by reacting dianhydride with diamine, and a step of imidizing polyamic acid in the next step .

In the first step of the method, the dianhydride is added to the reaction solution in which the diamine is dissolved in the production step of the polyamic acid, and the polyamic acid is produced due to the ring-opening, middle-portion reaction. The reaction solvent to be used herein is mainly polar organic solvents such as N, N-dimethylacetamide, N, N-dimethylformamide, N-methylpyrrolidone and meta-cresol.

In the second step, the polyamic acid prepared in the first step is imidized by a dehydration and ring-closing reaction through a chemical method or a thermal method. The chemical imidization method is a method in which a chemical dehydrating agent such as acetic anhydride such as acetic anhydride and an imidization catalyst typified by tertiary amines such as pyridine are added to a polyamic acid solution as a precursor and heated at 160 ° C or higher. On the other hand, the thermal imidization method is a method in which a precursor polyamic acid solution is applied to a substrate, the solvent is evaporated, and then heated to 250 to 350 ° C without a chemical dehydrating agent and a catalyst.

As described above, a conventional method of synthesizing polyimide is a method of passing through a polyamic acid, whereas a method of directly synthesizing a polyimide from a monomer has been developed. In connection with this, Advances in Polymer Science , 140: 1-22, 1999 discloses a process for preparing a salt of dianhydride and diamine, followed by heating the salt to prepare a polyimide. In the above method, dianhydride is first added to water or ethanol and heated at a reflux temperature to synthesize a tetracarboxylic acid in the former, and a diacid-diester in the latter, which is then filtered and dried. The diamine is then added to ethanol, heated to dissolve at the reflux temperature, and the tetracarboxylic acid or diacid-diester is slowly added to the ethanol solution. The mixture is heated at reflux temperature for 8 to 10 hours, and the resulting precipitate is filtered and washed to obtain a monomer salt, which is then placed in a vacuum oven and dried. The resulting salt is heated to produce polyimide.

However, since the above-described method involves a number of synthesis steps, it is not only troublesome but also has a problem in that the manufacturing cost is increased, and further, waste heat is generated due to a high heating process.

Advances in Polymer Science 1999, 140, 1-22 Yoshio Imai Rapid Synthesis of Polyimides from Nylon-Salt-Type MonomersAdvances in Polymer Science 1999, 140, 1-22 Yoshio Imai Rapid Synthesis of Polyimides from Nylon-Salt-Type Monomers
