상기 파우치(10)는 수납부(12)에 가스공급수단(20) 및 상기 가스공급수단(20)에 의해 팽창되는 구명동의(40)를 다단으로 접어서 부피를 줄여서 수납하고, 좌/우측의 제1, 제2커버(14,15)와 저면의 제3커버(16) 및 상면의 제4커버(17)로 감싸고 상기의 커버가 접합수단에 의해 탈/부착 가능하며;
상기 가스공급수단(20)의 가스발사기(22) 안전핀(24)에 연결된 당김줄(36)이 파우치(10)의 외측으로 노출되고 상기 당김줄(36)의 끝단에 구비되는 손잡이(30)를 당김에 따라, 상기의 커버(14,15,16,17)가 전개되면서 구명동의(40)가 노출되고 상기 가스발사기(22)에 의해 기체를 주입하여 구명동의(40)가 팽창하도록 된 것을 특징으로 하는 콤팩트한 휴대형 구명조끼.
