상기 유효 폭에 관한 식 및 (6) 식에 기초하여 박스 단면형 박판 부재(33)의 허용 압축 내력(Ae?Fcr)이 최대가 되는 조건으로서의 코너부 폭 치수 D(D1)은 아래 식으로 표현할 수 있다.
도 6에 도시하는 바와 같이, D(D1)의 2.0배의 범위이면, 박스 단면형 박판 부재(33)의 허용 압축 내력(Ae?Fcr)을 효과적으로 상승시킬 수 있기 때문에, 아래의 범위로 설정된다.

- 박스 단면형 박판 부재의 좌굴 보강 구조로, 판 두께 0.4 ㎜ 내지 1.6 ㎜의 박스 단면형 박판 부재는, 박강판을 박스형 단면 형상으로 휨 형성하고 각 변 및 서로 이웃하는 변끼리를 접속하는 코너부의 코너부 보강부를 형성하여 이루어지고, 박스 단면형 박판 부재의 외형 폭 치수(b)가 박판 부재의 판 두께 치수(t)(㎜)와의 아래 관계식 (1)을 만족하는 박스 단면형 박판 부재이며, 상기 각 코너부 보강부 중 적어도 하나의 코너부 보강부는 이것에 접속하는 변에 평행한 방향의 폭 치수(D)가 아래 관계식 (2) 및 (3)의 조건을 모두 만족하는 상한값 중 작은 값을 상기 폭 치수(D)로서 설정하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 박스 단면형 박판 부재의 좌굴 보강 구조.다만, F: 설계 기준 강도 (N/㎟)t:박스 단면형 박판 부재의 판 두께 치수 (㎜)
- 제2항에 있어서, 박스 단면형 박판 부재에 있어서의 코너부 보강부는 직선상 또는 부재 외측에 원호상 또는 부재 내측에 원호상의 단면 형상으로 되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 박스 단면형 박판 부재의 좌굴 보강 구조.
- 제2항에 있어서, 박스 단면형 박판 부재의 코너부 보강부를 제외한 4 변 중 3 변에는 단면이 U자형 또는 V자형의 중간 보강 리브가 상기 박스 단면형 박판 부재의 내부에 형성되고, 남은 1 변은 박판 부재의 양단을 코킹부에 의하여 접합하여 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 박스 단면형 박판 부재의 좌굴 보강 구조.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 코킹부가 판 두께 치수의 2배 이상, 6배 이하의 중첩 두께를 가지고, 또한 판 두께 치수의 5배 이상, 15배 이하의 중첩 폭으로 되어 있 는 것을 특징으로 하는 박스 단면형 박판 부재의 좌굴 보강 구조.
- 제2항에 있어서, 박스 단면형 박판 부재는 폐쇄되어 있거나 또는 일부가 해방되고, 전체적으로 5 내지 8각형의 단면 형상으로 되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 박스 단면형 박판 부재의 좌굴 보강 구조.
- 제2항에 있어서, 박스 단면형 박판 부재는 복수의 박강판 부재를 조합하여 구성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 박스 단면형 박판 부재의 좌굴 보강 구조.
