Claims (13)
- 오프 상태로부터 온 상태로 전이할 때의 게이트 전압치와 드레인 전류치의 관계인 제1 관계와, 온 상태로부터 오프 상태로 전이할 때의 게이트 전압치와 드레인 전류치의 관계이며 상기 제1 관계와는 다른 제2 관계의 양자 모두를 구비하고 있는 트랜지스터와;상기 트랜지스터에 의해 제어되는 전류가 구동전류로서 공급되는 표시소자와;상기 트랜지스터의 게이트 전극에 접속되는 용량소자를 구비하고,상기 제1 및 제2 관계 중의 한 쪽의 관계에 의거하여 제1 기간동안 상기 표시소자에 공급하는 구동전류를 설정하고;상기 제1 및 제2 관계 중의 다른 쪽의 관계에 의거하여 제2 기간동안 상기 표시소자에 구동전류를 공급하여 발광시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 화소회로.
- 제1 항에 있어서,상기 제1 기간 동안에 설정되는 드레인 전류치는, 상기 제2 기간 동안에 상기 표시소자에 공급되는 구동전류치 보다 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 화소회로.
- 제1 항에 있어서,상기 제1 기간 동안에 설정되는 드레인 전류치는, 상기 제2 기간 동안에 상기 표시소자에 공급되는 구동전류치 보다 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 화소회로.
- 제1 항에 있어서,상기 제1 기간 동안에 결정되는 게이트 전압치는, 상기 표시소자에 구동전류를 공급할 때의 게이트 전압치과 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 화소회로.
- 제2 항에 있어서,상기 트랜지스터는,동일한 게이트 전압치인 경우에도, 온 상태로부터 설정된 드레인 전류치는, 오프 상태로부터 설정된 드레인 전류치보다 작은 시계방향의 히스테리시스 특성을 가지고;상기 트랜지스터를 오프 상태로 설정한 후에, 상기 제1 기간 동안에 드레인 전류가 제1 전류치를 가지도록 상기 트랜지스터의 게이트 전압치를 설정하고;상기 트랜지스터의 게이트 전압치를, 일단 온 상태로 설정한 후에 되돌려서, 상기 제2 기간내에, 상기 제 1의 전류치보다 작은 제2 전류치를, 상기 표시소자에 구동전류로서 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화소회로.
- 제2 항에 있어서,상기 트랜지스터는,동일한 게이트 전압치인 경우에도, 오프 상태로부터 설정된 드레인 전류치보다, 온 상태로부터 설정된 드레인 전류치가 큰 반시계방향의 히스테리시스 특성을 가지고;상기 트랜지스터를 온 상태로 한 후에, 상기 제1 기간 동안에 드레인 전류가 제3 전류치를 가지도록 상기 트랜지스터의 게이트 전압치를 설정하고;상기 트랜지스터의 게이트 전압치를, 일단 오프 상태로 한 후에 되돌려서, 상기 제2 기간 동안에, 상기 제 3의 전류치보다 작은 제4 전류치를, 상기 표시소자에 구동전류로서 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화소회로.
- 제2 항에 있어서,상기 용량소자를, 상기 트랜지스터의 상기 게이트 전극에 전기적으로 접속하고, 상기 제1 기간 전 상기 제2 기간 후, 또는 상기 제2 기간 전 상기 제1 기간 후에, 상기 용량소자의 차지펌핑 효과에 의해, 상기 제1 기간동안에 결정되는 게이트 전압치를 증가시키거나 감소시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 화소회로.
- 하나의 화소는, 제1 항 내지 제7 항 중의 어느 한 항에 기재된 화소회로로 구성되고,복수의 상기 화소는 매트릭스형상으로 배치되어 있고,데이터선과 주사선은 상기 화소회로에 접속되어 있는 것을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
- 제8 항에 있어서,상기 화소회로에서의 상기 표시소자는, OLED소자인 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
- 제8 항에 있어서,상기 화소회로를 구성하는 트랜지스터의 채널층이, 아몰퍼스 실리콘, 아몰퍼스 실리콘 산화물 재료, 또는 유기 반도체 재료로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
- 오프 상태가 온 상태로 전이하는 경우의 게이트 전압치와 드레인 전류치의 관계인 제1 관계와, 온 상태가 오프 상태로 전이하는 경우의 게이트 전압치와 드레인 전류치의 관계이며, 상기 제1 관계와는 다른 제2 관계를 구비하고 있는 트랜지스터와;상기 트랜지스터에 의해 제어된 전류가 구동전류로서 공급되는 표시소자와;상기 트랜지스터의 게이트 전극에 접속되는 용량소자를 구비하고,상기 표시소자에 공급하는 구동전류를 설정하기 위한 제1 기간과, 상기 표시소자에 구동전류를 공급하여 발광시키기 위한 제2 기간이 제공되고;상기 제1 및 제2 기간의 양쪽 모두의 기간동안, 상기 제1 및 제2 관계 중 한쪽의 관계만에 의해 구동전류를 설정하여 공급하기 위해,(1) 상기 구동전류를 설정하고, 그 후, 상기 트랜지스터를 오프 상태로 설정한 후에, 상기 표시소자에 상기 구동전류를 공급하거나, 또는(2) 상기 구동전류를 설정하고, 그 후, 상기 트랜지스터를 온 상태에 설정한 후에, 상기 표시소자에 상기 구동전류를 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화소회로.
- 제11 항에 있어서,상기 제1 및 제2 기간의 양쪽 모두의 기간동안, 상기 제1 및 제2 관계 중 한쪽의 관계만에 의해 구동전류를 설정하여 공급하기 위해,(1) 상기 트랜지스터를 오프 상태로 설정한 후에, 상기 구동전류를 설정하고, 그 후, 일단 오프 상태로 설정된 상기 트랜지스터를 온 상태를 거쳐서 오프 상태로 일단 되돌린 후에, 상기 표시소자에 상기 구동전류를 공급하거나, 또는(2) 상기 트랜지스터를 온 상태로 설정한 후에, 상기 구동전류를 설정하고, 그 후, 일단 온 상태로 설정된 상기 트랜지스터를 오프 상태를 거쳐서 온 상태로 일단 되돌린 후에, 상기 표시소자에 상기 구동전류를 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화소회로.
- 하나의 화소는, 제11 항에 기재된 상기 화소회로로 구성되고;복수의 상기 화소는 매트릭스 형상으로 배치되어 있고;데이터선과 주사선은, 상기 화소회로에 접속되어 설치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상표시장치.
