Abstract

A glaze composition for a ceramic ware is provided to form hulled millet-size light colored crystal bodies on the surface of a ceramic ware while realizing a classical, indistinct and matte color. A glaze composition for a ceramic ware comprises: 15-25 parts by weight of feldspar; 5-15 parts by weight of salt; 25-35 parts by weight of mulberry tree ash in which potash is removed; and 35-45 parts by weight of fermented and dried mulberry tree leaves, on the dry weight basis. The glaze composition further comprises 15-25 parts by weight of fermented and dried silkworm excrement based on 100 parts by weight of the composition.
