Abstract

A rod return apparatus for a cylinder is provided to improve structure of the rod returning apparatus to rapidly return a rod backward after moving the rod of the cylinder forward. A rod return apparatus for a cylinder comprises a cutting part(15), a cylinder, and a power distributing unit. The cutting part is connected to a blade part for cutting a rolled material entering a cutting device. The cylinder is connected to a rod(14) to reciprocate the rod depending on supply of the air. The power distributing unit is disposed adjacent to an end of the rod of the cylinder. The power distributing unit includes a lift member(20), a support member(30), and a spring member(40). The lift member is in contact with the end of the rod to be lowered or raised. The support member is coupled to a lower portion of the lift member to guide upward and downward movement of the lift member. The spring member is disposed adjacent to the end of the rod of the cylinder.
