Claims (8)
- 액정 장치로서,하측 편광판과, 하측 위상차판과, 액정 셀과, 상측 위상차판과, 상측 편광판을 구비하되,상기 하측 편광판과, 상기 하측 위상차판과, 상기 액정 셀과, 상기 상측 위상차판과, 상기 상측 편광판은 그 순서대로 배치되고,상기 액정 셀은 네마틱 액정층을 갖고,상기 네마틱 액정층은 트위스트각이 0°∼70°의 범위 내로 설정되고,상기 하측 위상차판은 하이브리드 배향의 디스코틱 액정 필름(discotic liquid crystal film)을 이용한 제 1 하측 위상차판과, 3차원 굴절율 이방성을 갖는 고분자 필름을 이용한 제 2 하측 위상차판을 갖고,상기 제 2 하측 위상차판은 상기 제 1 하측 위상차판의 아래에 배치되고,상기 제 2 하측 위상차판의 3차원 굴절율 계수는 -0.7∼0.7의 범위 내인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 하측 위상차판은 당해 제 1 하측 위상차판을 위쪽으로부터 보았을 때에, 하이브리드 배향축이 상기 기준 방향에 대하여 반시계 방향으로 85°∼95° 의 범위 내의 각도를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 하측 위상차판은 당해 제 2 하측 위상차판을 위쪽으로부터 보았을 때에, 위상 리타데이션 축(phase retardation axis)이 상기 기준 방향에 대하여 반시계 방향으로 85°∼95°의 범위 내의 각도를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 상측 위상차판은 위쪽으로부터 보았을 때에 위상 리타데이션 축의 방향이 다르고, 모두 저분산 필름으로 이루어지는 제 1 및 제 2 상측 위상차판을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 상측 위상차판은 역파장 분산 필름으로 이루어지는 단일의 위상차판인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 상측 위상차판은 하이브리드 배향의 디스코틱 액정 필름을 이용한 제 1 상측 위상차판과, 3차원 굴절율 이방성을 갖는 고분자 필름을 이용한 제 2 상측 위상차판을 갖고,상기 제 2 상측 위상차판은 상기 제 1 상측 위상차판의 위에 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 액정 셀은 부분 반사층을 갖는 반투과 반사형 액정 셀이며,상기 부분 반사층에 대응하는 반사부에서의 상기 네마틱 액정층의 층 두께는 상기 반사부 이외의 투과부에서의 상기 네마틱 액정층의 층 두께보다 얇은 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.
- 청구항 1에 기재된 액정 장치를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전자기기.
