Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily determine an anatomical position where there is Doppler shift, by separating a receiving signal into a B-mode signal and a Doppler signal and successively applying MTI processing and signal processing for specific display to the Doppler signal to perform the specific display on the cursor of a picture. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic wave reflected from an examinee is received by an ultrasonic probe 1 and amplified by a receiver 2. The output of this receiver 2 is amplified and detected in one route by an amplifying and detecting circuit 3 to become a B-mode video signal which is, in turn, converted to a digital signal in an AD converter 4. In the other route, the receiving signal is inputted to an MTI processing circuit 5 to erase the reflected wave from a fixed substance to be converted to an MTI video signal only composed of the reflected wave from a moving substance and said video signal is converted to a digital signal by an AD converter 6 to be inputted to a section specific signal processing part 7. The output of the AD converter 4 and that of the section specific signal processing part 7 are simultaneously written in the frame memory of a DSC 8 and displayed on a display apparatus 9. By this method, sensitivity can be well confirmed visually while an anatomical position where Doppler shift is present is made clear.
