Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize driving of motor, by providing a pulse width modulator for outputting pulses having random pulse width synchronously with oscillation frequency of an oscillator for providing signals to a piezoelectric member, a feedback amplifier therefor and and a ring counter. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit for supersonic motor comprises a referential voltage V generator 1, an oscillator 2 performing self-oscillation with starting frequency fs, an amplifier 3, a pulse width modulator 4, a feedback amplifier 5, a ring counter 6 and logic circuits 7a-7d. The feedback amplifier 5 receives a split motor input voltage Vm at its Vm terminal and a referential voltage VR at its VR terminal, then the difference is amplified to produce an output voltage VC which is employed for control of the pulse width modulator 4. Pulse width is widened for low output voltage while narrowed for high output voltage so as to stabilize the output voltage.
