Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the difficulty in a sealing treatment of a dispersion system by interposing perforated spacers formed of shape memory members between both electrode plates to flowably hold the dispersion system at the time of injecting the dispersion system and restoring the shape of the spacers after the injection of the dispersion system so that the dispersion system is divided discontinuously. CONSTITUTION:The perforated spacers 3 consisting of the shape memory members which flowably hold the dispersion system 5 and can divide the dispersion system 5 discontinuously to the required small areas by restoring the shape after injection of the dispersion system 5 are provided between the transparent electrodes 2 as means for dividing ad sealing the dispersion system 5 to the small areas. The sealing treatment of the dispersion system is, therefore, executable in the state of assuring the sufficient spacing between the electrodes 2 and the spacers 3 at the time of injecting the dispersion system 5. The operation for injecting the dispersion system is thereby easily and surely executed.
