PURPOSE:To simply detect a working rate by reading out execution display flags from a prescribed address range, detecting the total number of flags and calculating the working rate of a microprogram based on the ratio of the detected value to the total number of microinstructions included in the prescribed address range. CONSTITUTION:At every reading of a microinstruction from a control memory 11, an one-bit execution display flag is written in its corresponding address in an execution flag registering memory 15 having the same address constitution as the control memory 11. After ending the execution of a microprogram to be evaluated, execution display flags are read out from the prescribed address range in the memory 15, the total number of read flags is detected and the working rate of the microprogram is calculated from the ratio of the detected number to the total number of microinstructions included in the prescribed address range. Consequently, the working rate of the microprogram can be detected by means of the simple constitution under the same operating environment as real operation.
